Hi an owner responded to my inquiry and wants me to send them a check to book. It does not show on their listing “redweek verified” and they stated they don’t accept credit cards. How are they posting through Redweek if they are not legit? I purposely joined redweek because I thought it would give me protection from scammers.

RedWeek has always been a marketplace for owners to rent and sell their timeshares and we don’t discourage them when they would prefer to handle the transaction themselves. However, an increase in demand for additional protection is why RedWeek’s Online Booking came to fruition. If you'd prefer the additional security of a RedWeek Verified posting, we'd encourage you to keep an eye out for postings bearing the Verified flag.
