In my opinion, Peppertree Maggie Valley Resort Villas and Inn is a great option if you want to be close to a lot of major attractions without feeling overwhelmed. You’re within about a half-hour drive of the Biltmore House and the Cherokee Indian Reservation, and it’s also very close to Gatlinburg, Tennessee, as well as the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.

What I really like is the variety of amenities available on site. The resort offers golf, tennis and pickleball courts, fishing areas, and a playground, which makes it appealing for families and groups. There is also a seasonal outdoor swimming pool located nearby at the Maggie Valley Country Club, along with convenient laundry facilities.

  • Peaceful and quiet, near the creek and golf course. November is a beautiful time of year.

This is our personal unit. It has a beautiful view of the mountains and golf course. (Green Fees are included in your stay.)

The unit was completely renewed in 2020. Its the top unit with 2 short tears of steps with a balcony and porch.

April is the start of spring is usually mild but with cool nights.

Beautiful location on the golf course surrounded my lush, majestic mountain ridges.

Condos are adjacent to Maggie Valley Country Club (MVCC). At time of this review, two green fees per day were included with rental week. (Cart fee is extra). You also have access to pool, hot tub, and driving range as well at MVCC.

Staff is very friendly and will address any need you have for living quarters, as well as very helpful advice on sight seeing. FIshing stream, grill area, and playground right behind unit. Units are continually upgraded and well maintained. Wifi now available.

Many nearby attractions and recreational opportunities nearby including Biltmore House, Cherokee, Gatlinburg, whitewater rafting, horseback riding, trout fishing, Blue Ridge Parkway and more. Also, go see the thriving elk population over in Cataloochee Valley.

I will eventually upgrade the star rating on this resort as the improvements that have begun are put into place. For now, as of early 2006, the resort remains as the best Western North Carolina central location to stay. Visitors wanting to explore both Asheville and the Smoky Mountains including Cherokee for Harrah's casino and a day in Gatlinburg are just off I-40 between all these locations. This is a quiet place and the staff are friendly and helpful. You get unlimited free golf on the Maggie Valley Country Club course (which most units overlook);you just pay the cart fee.
