Ocean front resort with friendly staff and a wonderful restaurant onsite. Oceanside pool and hot tub with longe chairs and showers. Activity director in summer with Ice Cream socials and Hot Dog BBQs. In the heart of town within easy walking of shopping, dining and nightlife. Not overly fancy or pricey but an excellent resort.

This is a great resort! Excellent location, many restaurants around, village-style shopping, and just a very nice neighborhood. The photos on this site are so outdated, probably 10 to 15 years old and it looks so much better than these indicate. Please check the Reef's website for more current photos and a more accurate depiction of what the place looks like. It is not Marriott class but very basic, probably built in the 60s, nice landscaping overall, has been well maintained.

We just returned from this resort prior to Hurricane Frances. The resort was clean, the larger room (1 bedroom) do in fact face the ocean. The studio, which we stayed in, either faced the street or a very partial view of the ocean on the other side. Unfortunately, with our exchange, we ended up facing the street on the 2nd floor - which was much better than facing the street at ground level where you walk right out to the parking lot. Otherwise, the accommodation were much like a hotel room with a small kitchen area.

We didn't experience this but according to the hotel information, because there is a restaurant at this location, parking becomes an issues on the weekends at times.
