The Grand Canadian Resort of the Rockies Reviews & Ratings

We stayed here in the 1st week of August. A lot of resorts look better on their website than they do in reality. This resort actually looks better in reality than it does on the website...except for the pool (which is a little small) but you can tell on the website that the pool is not big. The resort is 4 years old and is really superb. it is very spacious and in a nice quiet area of Canmore. We've stayed at several places in Banff including the Banff Springs Hotel and Chateau Lake Louise, also at Kananaskis. For families this is as good and in some ways better than any of the previous 3.

Grand Canadian, Canmore, is a 5 minute drive to the Banff Park gate or a 20 kilometer bicycle ride into Banff itself on a dedicate bicycle path. The rooms are spacious and large; everything is clean and the beds are comfortable. Grand Canadian Resort is in a beautiful setting in the Canadian Rockies surrounded by towering peaks.

We have stayed at the Grand Canadian Resort in Canmore several times. We love the spacious two bedroom to bathroom units. Great restaurant's in Canmore and Banff. We love hiking Grassi lakes and cycling around Canmore, Banff and the Bow Valley Parkway. Golfing Silvertip, Stewart Creek and the Canmore Golf Course. Outdoor pool, indoor and outdoor hot tub and sauna are wonderful after a day of outdoor activities.

Nicest place in Canmore/Three Sisters area. Staff is very accomodating. Thirty six or so identical units. Second floor is the best. Even numbered units face the woods and wildlife corridor. Odd numbered units face the Mountainis and overlook the parking lot and entrance grounds. In the morning watch for herds of elk and Whitetail deer moving along the back fence. This is a very quiet place. It also has an undergroung heated parkade.
