Very comfortable for family and friends. The Olympic Valley village has great shops and restaurants, and is beautiful during the Christmas season. Great ski slopes.

Red Wolf Lodge at Olympic Valley is a great ski lodge. Steps from Red Dog chair off of the recreation deck has you on the lift in minutes. Ski in for a quick lunch. End of the day? Slip into one of 3 hot tubs on the deck. Taking a day off? Work out in the rec room. Snowing? Covered parking for you!

This is hands down the best accommodation at Palisades at Tahoe. It is a true ski in ski out resort with the Red Dog high speed lift just 20 steps from the private gate to the resort Clubhouse and hot tubs. Red Wolf Lodge consistently receives 5 star ratings. You park once and never need your car until departure day. Everything you need is within a 2 minute walk to the Village: apres ski, shopping, restaurants, coffee shops, fire pits, bars, entertainment, even free shuttles and public transportation to view Lake Tahoe or explore downtown Tahoe City and Truckee, etc.

This is a GREAT spot to go to as you are ON the mountain. If you have any issues with mobility you can just watch and enjoy the view based upon the room. Very very good location.

This resort is in the perfect location for skiing with ski in and ski out with the Red Dog Express Lift within steps of the back gate. Beautiful mountain scenery looking out at the slopes. The rooms are decorated with mountain lodge motif and are very spacious and comfortable. The staff is terrific with housekeeping staff very attentive and responsible with multiple cleanings during the week.

My family have done the first of the snow season at this resort since 2020 and always enjoyed it, sightseeing in the Village, Truckee, Virginia City and country drives and hiking

Red Wolf Lodge at Olympic Valley is right in the middle of the Valley. The Lodge is cozy and comfortable. During the summers, they have free bikes for the guests to use. The parking is covered so you won't have to worry about a snowpack on top of your car. You can walk over to the ski lifts too! There is the village that is right across the street. The room has a small kitchen and living space. Such a warm place to be during the winters.

Hidden Gem at the Palisades Village with ski in/out right next to the new gondola to Alpine! Clean and well maintained and our experience with the staff was great. Underground parking made it a breeze to arrive and we never used the car during our stay with 2 min walk to all the fun in the Village and ski in/out location

This is a great ski in / ski out resort. It's literally feet from the Red Dog chair lift. The staff wonderful and very attentive. The rooms are meticulously cleaned and the hot tubs (4 of them) have nice strong jets.

Location, Location, Location! Love the community room with kitchen, sauna, games, pool table, fireplaces ...AMAZING place to stay. Great staff!

Wonderful resort with new upgrades this summer plus the new chair lift to Alpine Meadows is right outside the door so you can ski both mountains!!

Red Wolf Lodge in Squaw Valley! 1960 Winter Olympics were held here. That means great slopes for avid skier!

And when its not snowing, it has great hiking trails!

And lastly, it’s 5 minutes away from Lake Tahoe. Go water tubbing, paddle boarding, kayaking, or just bask in the sun!

This could not be more convenient. The staff is so friendly and accommodating. Having covered parking is a huge plus! The beds were so comfortable and the view is amazing. We were able to walk to Olympic Village for food and shopping in under 5 minutes. We also snapped our skis on and went right to the lift outside the back door! Ski in/ski out is a dream! Kids had games to play from the office, movies to watch, and hit tubs to soak! Love it!

What a nice place to stay if you want to ski and stay in the middle of beautiful Squaw Village. We purchased a studio unit from Interval but needed a bigger unit and front desk was able to upgrade us to 1 bdr for extra $25/night. The unit is not very specious but super clean and has cabin theme with log furniture and fireplace. The bedroom has a nice king bed with very nice bedding, living room has a brand new pull out sofa. Kitchen well stoked, bathroom has a Jacuzzi tab. I can only say the great things about the unit. We were family of 4 so it was ok for 3 days that we were there. Location is super! We did not use a car, but were walking to restaurants and stores (kind of expensive). Our daughter and her friend used bicycles that were available for free from the resort. The front desk people were super nice and accommodating. We stayed there in the midd of November (2014) and not much places were open but we would definitely comeback during ski season or in the spring-summer time. Resort has small but very nice club house, 2 jacuzzi, which were very clean. Lobby has fresh coffee or tea and lots of free DVDs to watch. They charge $10/night for the use of the facility. I liked that we were charge this fee for only the nights we stayed instead of the whole week that we purchased.

Clean, comfortable, close to everything. Friendly staff. The skiing is world class and being right at the Tram makes it so convenient.

Place was filthy. Holes in the towels. Snall unit, Parking lot was shared with maintenace lot for squaw valley. Furnishings okay, but very uncomfortable beds. $7 fee per night for use of facilities.

Pass it up,.

My family enjoyed a week at Red Wolf Lodge last winter - We could not ask for a more complete facility - the lodge was wonderfully furnished, and the best part - we had everything at our fingertips from our "slope- side" condo. Just a few step outside - Squaw Valley Olympic Village has it all - and our family loved it. We are coming back for a summer week next year.

My family stayed at the Red Wolf for a week. We were very pleased with the place.

It's very convenient to skiing as it's got a ramp in the back that takes you right out to the ski runs. You can ski down the Red Dog or mountain run and end up right at the property. The rooms are also quite nice. My understanding is that the place used to be a bit run down, but they just finished a major remodel and the rooms are now beautiful. There are all new appliances, furniture, beds, carpeting, etc. It truly looks like a 5 star place now.

Another plus if you have young children is that the Squaw Children's Center (with daycare) is next door.

Also, the new Village at Squaw Valley - which is half completed - is across the street. There are around 5 restaurants within walking distance and a bunch more at the Squaw Resort which has a free shuttle. I was also happy about having free covered parking at the base of the mountain.

The only downside I can see is that there's not a pool for non-winter use. There are two hot tubs though. For pool access in the summer, they recommended the one at high camp up on the top of the mountain, but that would cost you big money to ride up the tram.
