Great resort. Best large pools and swim up bars in Mexico. Top restaurants. You can also use all of Pueblo Bonito's other resorts.

Beautiful surroundings and the staff is cheerful, courteous, and very friendly. Clean and comfortable settings. Pool and beach are few steps away from each other. Resort offers all inclusive dining but we chose to explore restaurants inside and outside the resort. Everything is walking distance or a short taxi ride.

5 star resort with excellent ratings on trip advisor. Hotel amenities are outdoor Jacuzzis, a beauty salon with mini-spa and tennis courts nearby. Relax below 150-year-old mangroves that surround a free-form pool and stroll the shoreline by the bay. Located next world famous sport fishing waters, golf courses, and the Gold Zone, you can enjoy any number of nearby activities on both land and water.

Great location, recently renovated, ocean views and very nice, relaxing accessible beach. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Rooms are kept clean all of the time. Free shuttle bus to Pueblo Bonito Emerald Bay. You can use this sister location amenities.

2014-Since our first review, the resort has changed owners. The pool/front desk/maid staff is still wonderful but lives in fear of be fired at the drop of a hat to keep them "in line". Junior and senior management (which we don't consider staff) doesn't give two hoots about the patrons. The beverage prices have risen dramatically ($4 for a beer), WIFI $14 a day, REALLY? The all inclusive kills the wait staff by stating it includes tips, they get a buck per person, all day. With only four years left on our timeshares, the upper management has given 30% of the rooms to RCI, vacation clubs, etc. some of the weeks you want as owners are "not available" but may be available to an outsider. Last year someone there tried to use my CC the day I left to charge $170. The only ones who saw my CC in Mazatlan were the management. Evening meals in the city have magnified in quality and diversity. Going out on the town for fine dining is a wonderful experience. You gotta try Franco's Italian Restaurant. Haven't seen any oriental yet, but I will bet it's coming. Boasting the largest shrimp fleet in the western hemisphere, shrimp are the size of rock lobsters and are available fresh on the beach at PB MAZ. Don't let my review keep you from going, I put one star Overall in protest to what the management is doing to the place and to get your attention. Don't trust management, stay off the all inclusive, don't be afraid to get adventurous to dine out and treat the staff like family. The location is the bomb. Need more info? UPDATE 2017: This was our last year, SAD. RCI still has the place all messed up. If you are an RCI member than you have an advantage over an owner. Weekends are busy with locals flooding in from Durango, they can split their week in to two or three weekends. We miss all our acquaintances over the years. The hotel/grounds will be in partial turmoil for a couple of years as they remodel everything. We might go back after. Heading to Manzanilla in 2019. BOOK EARLY.

WE stayed at Pueblo Bonito in August of 09 and was it ever fun!!!!! The staff is the best of any hotel I have ever stayed at! The rooms are very comfortable and this is more family friendly than its sister at Emerald Bay. If you want all the frills then Emerald Bay is the place. This is just a very comfortable friendly resort. I am now an owner and cant wait to go back!

We stayed at Pueblo Bonito Mazatlan from Dec. 15 to 27 incl. My wife and I stayed in a junior suite and my daughter and her husband and children were in a luxury suite. We arrived from Canada on a direct flight via Westjet. We arrived in Mazatlan at 5:45 - just after the sun had set and quickly and effortlessly made our way through customs. Our Pueblo Bonito travel van was waiting for us and first dropped off 4 people at Emerald Bay and then us at P. B. Mazatlan. Our check in was fast and efficient. It is the staff at this resort that makes our stay so pleasant and memorable. Our luggage was delivered to our rooms and after unpacking and getting our bearings we had a very nice evening meal at Celantros. Each unit at P. B. has an ocean view. Our junior suite sleeps 4 but is very comfortable for 2. The kitchen facilities allows you to eat some or all your meals in the unit. The luxury suite has a separate bedroom and sleeps 6. The units are very clean and comfortable and very quiet – you don’t hear the people next to you. Although air conditioning is available in each unit - we slept with the patio door open and the screen door closed so we could hear the ocean. Each unit is no more then about a 60 seconds walk to the beach. The two large swimming pools are warm and very clean. There seems to be plenty of palapas both around the pools and on the sand facing the ocean. Morning meals at Los Palmos were always a delight. The waiters are friendly and are very attentive. The few times we had room service was also enjoyable. There is an abundant of daily activities for both young and old – everything from crafts, Spanish lessons, pool and beach activities and games. We enjoyed the sand castle competition where families compete to build the best sand castle. The only day when there aren’t many activities is on Mondays – their check-in and check-out day. For those wanting a refreshing drink or food by the pools there are waiters always available and ready to grant you your wishes. The resort is located north of the Golden Zone in Mazatlan and many buses, taxis, or pulmoneas are available to take you to any area of Mazatlan you want to go. The concierge staff is always willing to assist you. There is a bus that travels back and forth to Emerald Bay every hour which is free for the guests of Pueblo Bonito. We have always felt very safe in the resort. Occasionally we have ventured to other areas close by in the evening and again have felt secure. The internet café has 5 computers available for those who need either a specialty coffee or to use the internet. The maid service is exceptional. Each room is cleaned every day and the floors washed. A maid comes in the evening to turn down your bed. There is a secure safe in each room. The kitchen in each room is small but adequate for some meals. There is a fridge and microwave in each room. The beach is very nice – many people get their daily exercise walking the 1500 feet on beautiful sand. Often the waves are great for boogie boarding. The ocean is nice and warm – even in December. The sun sets are spectacular. Each time we visit we want to stay longer. Although the resort is great it is the staff that really makes this place special. Allan M

We have stayed here at least twice, the last time in Dec. '03, and it rates in the top of our Mexican resorts. Fairly nice people, great pools with palapa bar, easy to get to shopping, great restaurants nearby, vendors on the beach over the wall if you wish to engage them.

We were awarded over $350 woth of restaurant food during the week by enduring three time share spiels - it was worht it!

Fabulous sunsets. Parachute rides if you want. Get your room at 3rd story or above to enjoy the view over the palms.

I've never seen a cleaner, friendlier resort in Mexico ANYWHERE, and I've been EVERYWHERE!!! A nice mixture of Old Mexico, and yet, still, SO CLOSE to everything....restaurants, shopping, BEACH on site, Sport Fishing, etc. Has everything to offer that Cabo does, BUT for far less money, and FAR LESS crowds. Have been to this resort for the past 3 years in a row. Children LOVE IT!!! Immaculately clean, and the staff is bent on pleasing!!! What a gem!!!

First Time at Pueblo Bonito Mazatlan was in March. Within a week of arriving home, we had made reservations to return for a week at Christmas. We had a Junior Suite and it had more than enough room for the 2 of us. 4 people could easily occupy the room. Rooms are lovely, spacious and have very nice views of the pool areas and ocean. The 2 pools are wonderful and the ocean and beach are great for swimming, taking walks and collecting shells. The restaurants and the food was all very good and we felt priced fairly. The staff is excellent and always making your stay pleasant. I believe it is a excellant Resort for all ages. I highly recommend for a great and relaxing vacation.

Pueblo Bonito never fails to please. With beautiful grounds, pools and rooms it serves up a great taste of Mexico. Restaurant was good and when you are tired go enjoy the hot tub!

Out of the "golden zone" area, it is quieter than some of the other resorts. It was great!

We love Mazatlan, and this is a lovely place to stay while visiting. Rooms are very nice, and the grounds are beautiful. There are plenty of activities offered during the day, and you can choose to sunbathe at the 'quiet" pool, or be in the thick of things at the main pool. You also have the option of sunbathing on the beach, but beware the beach vendors!

An internet center is available on site, which makes it easy to check up on what's going on at home while you're vacationing. There is also a free shuttle bus out to the newer Pueblo Bonito Emerald Bay property, which is definitely worth the trip just for a walk around the grounds.

We highly recommend the resort restaurants Cilantro's and Angelo's, and always pay them a visit when we're in town even though we may not be staying at the resort.

I own 2 wks here, love it, go every November. The rooms are great, lots of amenities, pool is warm and hot tub is nice. Sunsets are beautiful. The restaurants are very good, and the staff is pleasant. Around the outside are lots of timeshare vendors, hard to avoid. Lots to see and do in Mazatlan, I never get tired of it. You can walk and walk and walk, and see lots of things or enjoy a ride in a unique pulmonia. Pueblo Bonito is a number 1 resort. Enjoy!

Pueblo Bonito Mazatlan is just the best! I've stayed here 2 times both by exchange and all those that have stayed with me have enjoyed themselves fully.

The resort is beautiful, clean and comfortable. The staff is helpful, friendly and well trained.

The transportation from the airport is great and worth the $$. The travel office and their staff on site is always ready to help with whatever you need.

The 1 bedroom units that sleep 6 have large balconies and open to views of the beach and the waves lull you to sleep at night.

I think all the units have a view of the water even the studios. There are two pools, one with more activity than the other. The spa/hottub is great and fits maybe 10 people.

Food and service are the best!! Whether you eat in or by the pool it's always great. Happy hour 2 for 1 by the pool is the way to relax.

My niece and I both had a massage the day we went home and both loved it. It was sure the way to end our week. We went home relaxed and wanting to come back as soon as possible.

All the Pubelo Bonito resorts throughout Mexico are 1st Class. I compare all other resorts throughout the world to those run by Pueblo Bonito.

Very nice resort! We stayed there in June and had a great time. The resort has great ocean views, friendly staff, nice pool facilities, onsite restaurants, and is very clean. I have stayed at many timeshares in Mexico and Hawaii and would rate this resort as one of my favorite places to stay, With the the Marriott Resort on Kauai being my #1 favorite. I would recommend Pueblo Bonito to anyone.

We spent our honeymoon here in 1999. Great resort, nice place to relax. Mazatlan is a little different compared to other Mexican cities but can be just as fun.

Paradise found! Beautiful location, gardens and pool. Nice facilities. Friendly staff. We wanted for nothing during our 10 days there at the end of May 2004.

Fell in love with Pueblo Bonito the first time I saw it, bought in, and have never regretted my choice. Easily the most beautiful setting in Mazatlan! Lush gardens with peacocks and flamingos.

The staff are SO nice. SO accomodating, SO honest. They even remember my name!

The beach is clean. The food is excellent. The ambience is relaxing. The town is fun to explore. The people are friendly.

I have never, in all the years we have been coming here (10), had one bad experience. That says it all!

By far my favorite resort in Mazatlan. The Pueblo Bonito has a romantic ambiance and provides a feeling of being on a specal vacation. Nice clean rooms, good food, and great swimming pool (complete with swim up bar). There is also a nice private beach on the property. Plenty of inexpensive restaurants within easy reach by city bus which stops directly in front of the hotel. Dont miss: a day trip to Isla de la Piedra where you can dine on the freshest seafood & ride horseback in a coconut plantation all on a private beach.
