Apartments are very basic and not what I
would call clean. The first apartment we were
given had only a fridge in the kitchen, no pots,
pans, cups or kettle plus when you used the
shower it flooded the bathroom. We asked if
we could be moved higher up in the building
with a view of the sea and the reception staff
were very helpful and moved us the following
day to a smaller apartment but one that was
fully equipped in the kitchen and with a sea
view.
The shower was also poor and leaked
everywhere and the shower curtain needed a
good clean, although we had the equipment in
the kitchen it wasn't clean and we only used
the kettle and the cups after we'd sterilised
them.
The facilities advertised as being on site are
actually at the hotel across the road from the
site and they are reasonable. The Beach was
small but clean and the sea was gorgeous,
pools were very nice and the food at the Fish
Restaurant was superb but the buffet
restaurant was not much good, the food was
much the same every day and was rarely hot.
Evening entertainment was regular and good
and the staff generally were very helpful and
cheerful but English was not spoken very
well. This resort mainly caters for German and
Russian holiday makers and for the 2 weeks
we were there, there were only 2 other
English people staying.
The staff were not able to book any tours for
you and the only way seemed to be through a
friend of a friend of a member of staff. Tours
to Cairo are advertised at taking 6 hours by
coach but actually take 9 hours and the trips
to Luxor actually take 6 hours. There are no
English speaking reps anywhere in the resort
and none of the folders detailing the tours are
in English.
Finally, the Satelite TV only has 2 English
speaking channels out of 80 and during the 2
weeks we were there it only worked for about
6 days.
