Canto del Sol Plaza Vallarta Reviews & Ratings

We stay 15 days in february 2005. Great location. The resort is in a great location, near the downtown. Food and drinks are reasonably to moderately priced. Many restaurants and shops close to the property. But the resort is extremely noisy all hours of the day and night. It was hard to find a lounge chair by the pool and forget the beach. Pool area was always croweded.It's is an old property, and the units need to be refurbished. The beds are hard as rocks.

This property is in a great location. Food and drinks are reasonably to moderately priced. There is a large grocery with a bakery blocks away, restaurants in and around the property and several shops/mall surrounding. The Mercado is about a mile with tons of nightlife, more shops and more restaurants. Cabs are pretty cheap from the airport to Canto was 6 bucks per person in 2004.

The Canto staff had daytime and nightlife activities. The staff is pleasant and helpful. Vendors are not allowed on the Canto Del Sol property but do roam the beaches.

Very large 1 BR unit with two balconies. Well located within walking distance of restaurants and supermarket. Them biggest drawback is the constant harrasment by the timeshare sellers.
