My husband and I took a vacation at the Tidewater the week of July 19, 2008. The resort is not a timeshare resort, but rather each condo is indivually owned and the owner(s) will contact timeshare companies or real estate agencies to rent it out. Our condo's big picture window looked out upon the 9th hole of the golf course. The view was like a beautiful living theater. We could watch the golfers, wildlife, boats and of couse the weather from our third floor view. The golf course itself was rated numer 41 in the United States. There are security guards at the entrance of this gated community and I noticed that security also made rounds of the grounds. We were close to Myrtle Beach, Murrell's Inlet and all the fun. This time of year the water at Myrtle Beach is like bathwater. The resort had a community pool and fitness center. There were reduced green's fees for those staying at the resort. The resort is lovely and serene.

Our family stayed at Tidewater last summer and even though it was a 10 minute drive from the beach, the surroundings were peaceful and quiet. We had a view of the golf course from our room and the rest of the 2 bedroom unit was spacious. The pool area was very nice but there are no other planned activities on the resort.

There is so much to do in Myrtle Beach for every member of the family. In the middle of summer, our golfers were able to play 18 holes for only $25 with a cart (and juniors were free!!!). Ocean was great, along with the shopping.
