Hotel Plaza Pelicanos Grand Beach Resort Reviews & Ratings

We are very happy with this resort however we have personal health reasons for selling. The location is wonderful for walking everywhere as we love to do. Close to airport. The points are sufficient for a very relaxing holiday.

We just returned from a week at Plaza Pelicanos and were pleasantly surprised!! We had not been there since before the hurricane and the total rebuild of the South Tower. We found the staff to be exceptional!! They were very pleasant and ready to meet your every wish. We did not do the all inclusive as we too like to experience all the wonderful restaurants that Puerto Vallarta has to offer. We own 16 weeks with Mayan Resorts (Mayan Palace and Grand Mayan) and I must say that although it's not quite as fancy as Mayan, the cozy atmosphere, helpful staff and close proximaty to Puerto Vallarta will make this our Number One choice for the future!!

The location is great, the area is beautiful, the food is delicious, and the staff is fantastic. One staff member in particular, Manuel (Server), was an absolute delight to see. He made my family and I feel very special and took care of all of our needs. Anyone who comes to Plaza Pelícanos, look for Manuel!!

We liked this resort. Close to the Mega shopping center. Taxi ride downtown was 5 us dollars. It was not as fancy as the Mayan Resorts, but it way more cozy. Kids found others to hang with. Drinks and food were reasonable. We opted not for the all inclusive, because the restaurants in PVR are so wonderful. The brazil, Pepes', Fajita Republic, WOW. There is a small mall out front, for shopping, liquor store. If you do not want the vendors or Condo salesmen to bother you, have a tan before you get there. However the vendors are to me part of the atmosphere of the city. Just relax and have fun. If you want your time to last longer don't wear a watch. It works!! The staff at the Pelicanos is very friendly, leave a tip for the maids and they will leave your towels shaped like animals. The beach is a little rocky and small. Our only issue was that the hotel carts were noisy running up and down the halls. We would happily stay there again.

I just returned from a week at Plaza Pelicanos. We had a 2 bedroom condo overlooking the pool and the ocean. the resort was very friendly and clean and the food was excellent. The staff were helpful without being pushy and we would stay there again in an instant! Plus the air conditioning worked really well!
