Enjoyed our stay as a very peaceful and relaxing wooded setting. Played tennis, enjoyed the beach area, and took side trips to experience Mackinac Island and Travese City. Will hit Petoskey, Harbor Springs, and another one of the interseting cities next time around. Only gave a 4 star in the area of resort location in case you would not want to drive places. While a pretty and serene setting where we stayed, unless you golf you may be pressed to entertain everyone for a full week. However, the many other interesting towns are close by as this is a great location for visiting so many options, yet neat condo setting as well.

The resort is centrally located for day trips to many beautiful areas of Northern lower MI. The resort checkin is extremely fast, a drive thru, the only resort we've ever been to that offers this option. Have stayed in at least six different units, all well appointed, maintenance reponds to any needs.

Great golf, and equally enjoyable paths for walks, the surrounding area is peaceful and quiet with beautiful scenery.

Shanty Creek is a great facility with very good staff for check in and maintenence. The condos are very well appointed, with full kitchen supplies,jacuzzi tubs, and washer and dryer in many units. I do not ski, but still love the hiking available on many trails during the winter months. They have many swiming pool options and alternative activities to golfing and skiing, their mainstay. I have stayed in at least 5 condos there, from studio to 3 bedroom delux. All had great views.

Shanty Creek is a beautiful setting. There is an abundance of golfing, every price; skiing/snowmobiling in winter, shopping all year around. It is always so peaceful and friendly. We enjoyed week 24, but turned it in for points every other year so we could ski a few weekends as well.

There is live entertainment in the summer that's very good. Each evening we'd take a walk and were always greeted by several deer in the area on the ski slopes and golf courses.

Several large organizations hold annual conferences at Shanty Creek year after year because it is so wonderful! That's how we first started coming.
