Can you swim in ocean?

Although you cannot swim right in front of the resort, you can walk down the hill and go immediately to the right and walk to the end of where the marina begins (10 minutes tops) and there is a locals beach there. It is quiet but no frills, no restaurants, no drink carts, no people on the beach selling you anything, etc. You can bring your own cooler and just relax. The other beaches are just a short cab ride ($3-5) or a short water taxi away if you want to get in at the marina and go to Medano beach.
