June, 2004
My daughter and I spent week 25 at the
Bethel Inn. We would give it a mixed review.
Bad news: The people at the front desk were
polite but not very friendly or helpful. There
was no free maid service/towel exchange and
no planned activities. The vast lawn was
mowed at 6 a.m. on Saturday morning in
preparation for the golfers, as this is definitely
a golfer's resort. No indoor pool.
Good news: We stayed in one of the Fairway
townhouses - two bedrooms, two baths,
washer/dryer downstairs, and kitchen,
dining/living room area with deck upstairs.
The unit was spotless and spacious. We loved
the gas fireplace on cool June mornings and
evenings. The roomy deck got the welcome
afternoon sun.
There is a wonderful outdoor heated pool, a
fitness center, sauna, a tennis court, volleyball
court, shuffleboard court, and lots of
Adirondack chairs for reading. You can rent
bikes on a daily or weekly basis. Also, two
restaurants are located in the main inn.
If you love golf, and a quiet resort, then this is
it.
