Beautiful getaway within driving distance to attractions both in Maine and New Hampshire. The town of Bethel is a little gem with shops and restaurants. The golf course is a nice gem with Sunday River Country Club just a short drive away. Great staff and a pub tavern with awarminviting feel on site.

My daughter and I spent week 25 at the Bethel Inn. We would give it a mixed review.

Bad news: The people at the front desk were polite but not very friendly or helpful. There was no free maid service/towel exchange and no planned activities. The vast lawn was mowed at 6 a.m. on Saturday morning in preparation for the golfers, as this is definitely a golfer's resort. No indoor pool.

Good news: We stayed in one of the Fairway townhouses - two bedrooms, two baths, washer/dryer downstairs, and kitchen, dining/living room area with deck upstairs. The unit was spotless and spacious. We loved the gas fireplace on cool June mornings and evenings. The roomy deck got the welcome afternoon sun.

There is a wonderful outdoor heated pool, a fitness center, sauna, a tennis court, volleyball court, shuffleboard court, and lots of Adirondack chairs for reading. You can rent bikes on a daily or weekly basis. Also, two restaurants are located in the main inn.

If you love golf, and a quiet resort, then this is it.

A real family type spot. Great skiing at "The River" or Mt Abrams. Nice shops in downtown Bethel and S.S. Milton is a upscale restaurant in Bethel as is The Phoenix at South Ridge while you are at the mountain. Relaxing outdoor heated pool just a few hundred yards away. Our Family loves coming back every year. Nine in a row for us.

This is an RCI Gold Crown resort. The units are spacious and comfortable with all the amenities of home. The Inn features Gourmet dining with a more informal / casual dining atmosphere in the Millbrook Tavern.

Horse drawn sleigh rides in the winter months tops off nicely a fantastic day of spring skiing!!!

Be sure to try out the heated outdoor pool, the excercise rooms and arcades.
