We stayed the last week of March 2010 in Unit 102 on an RCI exchange. As mentioned in other reviews, the Alpenrose is dated - the main hallways are narrow and the Heating/Ventilation system needs some work on improving air circulation. The unit was well kept, with good mattresses and lighting. The kitchen while small is well equipped. There is NO WIFI in the unit - but there is an Internet cafe that is open from 9 AM to 11 PM. The bus to the slopes is available right outside the door and you can be on the lifts within 20 minutes of leaving the unit. The town of Breckenridge is one block away and you can walk to the shops and restaurants. There is a grocery store and liquor store within a block - you do not need a car if you are staying here.

My unit was on the bottom floor closest to the town. I found the furnishings to be worn and shabby. The hot tub and sauna in the basement was dark and dreary and a little bit scary. It is very conveniently located to the town and if you are here for drinking and carousing and skiing, this probably will suit you well. The heating unit was very loud and not easily regulated. This is not a unit you would want to spend a lot of time in. The living areas are small. I had 2 weeks reserved and left after a week. Breckenridge is a delightful town, but this is not a place that you relish returning to at the end of the day.

Older resort, (that's why only three stars) but in good shape...new pillow top bed in master and on bunks, new stove and fridge etc. good shower! Great location... freeride shuttle outside door and 2 blocks to Main Street. Parking a little tough, (only 1 car per unit) but that was partly due to a ton of snow in lot they had plowed, but not been able to remove yet. Good management response whe we had a problem with the DVD. All in all a good experience for us!
