Great place to go to.... relax and enjoy the sun and the beach. What I can tell you about this place is amazing - your arrival is a bit crazy if you do not speak spanish. However, once you settle in and lay back you will enjoy. The shows are great, and the cholatees (staff)are fun for the whole family. The accomodations are fine and the all inclusive pacakage is the way to go. Now if you travel in and arround you will see that other resorts are thousands more for the same sun, sand and ocean. Here it is more reasonable and all I can say is you will be back for more.

Had a very good experience with this Coral by Hilton resort. We received a key for the safe upon check in, and were not charged for it. We were told about the mini bar policies, and given a reminder card to keep, and there was a sign on the mini bar itself. We were not told about the bottle opener in the door, but did notice it after looking around a little. The staff is generally very interested in making sure you enjoy your stay.

Our room in the main hotel was nice. It was very large and on the 5th floor, so the view was really good. The balcony was large and had two chairs and a small table. The rooms are well maintained and clean, though not perfect, and furnishings could be better. We had two comfortable beds and cable TV with some English language programs. There were two wicker chairs but no table in the room. Others we were with had a nice marble table in their room. The large walk in closet had lots of room, an ironing board and iron, and a safe. The rooms in the garden part of the resort looked very nice from the outside. It was quiet and peaceful back there during the day, and there is a path that you can jog on or take a walk through the grounds. The tennis courts, the gym, the putt putt golf areas are back there, too.

It is warm in the elevator and it is small. However, you are only in it about ten seconds, so it’s not a big deal. I believe they are remodeling or repairing another elevator by the reception desk, so that should help.

Food was good in the restaurants and at the breakfast buffet. We didn’t really eat at the lunch buffet or dinner buffet, but the dinner buffet had a different theme each night. Pizza was good on the beach. Hamburgers, hot dogs, chili dogs, French fries, baked chicken and really good barbecue sauce are available at Mangoes on the beach throughout the day. The French fries were really good. I would have to give good marks for variety of food at this resort. Being able to eat at the restaurants without a reservation was a big plus for our group because we could decide on the spot where and when to eat.

The maid brings two liters of water each day because you are not supposed to drink the water from the tap. I didn’t brush my teeth with it either, but I didn’t worry if my mouth was open in the shower. Water and ice in the restaurants and bars were fine. None of us got sick, and we enjoyed everything.

Boca Chica’s public beach is right next door, which you don’t need because you have a better (and less crowded) one at your resort. But if you walk out of the front door and turn left, and then left down the street, it curves and parallels the beach and has tons of shops. The prices are low, and you can buy coffee (and other things) at any of them for half of what you’d pay in the gift shop in the hotel.

Been there 2 times planning to return next summer. Incredible service! Love the beach and the aquatic sports. I spent the day kayaking, snorkeling or reading by a palm tree. You can't just stop eating or drinking. Perfect place to forget the rest of the world. Location is very convenient from Intl. airport and capital, around 20 minutes.

My family and I had a blast. We were 4 adults and two children initially. We used Joanne Regnault to help us arrange the reservation and she was an absolute pleasure. When we got to the resort, which is really beautiful, we found out that some other family members were turned away from another hotel that they had reserved. The staff a Hamaca was wonderfully accomodating and were even able to offer my family members suites.

There are activities for all ages throughout the day, shows in 5 languages, a gym, spa, children's areas and activities, excercise classes on the beach and really good food 24/7. There was security all over the place which was very nice. There is also a business center which I used often to keep in touch with my office. The disco on the property was really jumping on the weekends. It was really nice being on the beach and also being really close to the city (Santo Domingo) on the days and nights that we wanted to go out.

The only issue we had initially was getting an extra cot for our room, having our room keys deactivate randomly and getting a microwave. Nothing major.

Summer 2004-My family and I had a gorgeous newly decorated apt, sugar sand beach, staff couldn't go enough for you, shows were great, fun was there during the day if you wanted to participate or you could just relax by one of the pools or the beach. Spa was 1st class; food very tasty especially considering it is in a dining hall (you wouldn't know it!). Regular restaurants avail too. Safe, easy to get to, a very nice vacation, and would definitely return! Lots to do both on the resort and with side trips.

While the resort was OK, it wasn't very easy to navigate with a small baby. It was not handicap-accessible, which meant it was difficult for me to get around with a stroller. Also, the food was much worse than I anticipated - only the reservation only restaurants were worth eating at. The only good thing was the vacation club room - it was awesome (we got the 2BR with a full kitchen and 2 baths - very nice)

I think this resort is very nice.I had a great time on a 4 night stay here in Feb.The food was good and the staff was ok.The activities was excellent and they really have a nice set- up for children.They offer babysitting and all sorts of activities for the kids while the adults have a relaxing time in the few pools they have.I did the all-inclusive so I ate like a pig and drank like a minow.They have a club and casino for night life and it seemed to be safe and secure .The rooms are nice and the service was fine. The bech was cool....you could walk out 100 yards and the water was to your chest.The sand was smooth and the sun was blazing.

I had a great time at this hotel. I went with my 9 year old son along with 3 other families. The people that worked here were very friendly and apleasure to deal with. The kids were entertained and had the freedom to get their own food and drinks whenever they wanted them. The buffets were extensive and delicious. I highly recommend this resort.
