We returned 9/12 from Piney Shores and had a wonderful time. The resort facilities were excellent. The condo was sparkling clean with a great decor. It was also nice to have a jacuzzi bath, washer, dryer, dvdplayer and 3 large lcd tvs. The staff was very helpful and attentive. I would reccomend this resort to everyone.

  • Neat and clean. Well equipped. Great for fishing on Lake Conroe. Amenities are more than adequate.

I have stayed at this resort many times and just love it. Near Houston. Most Houston area attractions within an hours drive. This place just has it all.

So many activities for you to do with just minimal cost if any at all. Archery, tennis, volleyball, tether ball, Frisbees, putt putt golf are just a few of the activities there. Also indoor/outdoor pool and hot tub.

Nicely decorated interior of the lodges. Whirlpool baths in all units. Two bedroom two baths with balcony in the back with patio furniture. (all local calls free) which I have found to be very rare at resorts.

Weather here is nice most of the year. Very warm in the summer but plenty of water sports to keep you cool.

The resort is good if you get a "new" room. (This picture is of one of the "new" rooms.) The "Presidential" rooms are great too. The old rooms are old and beat up. I would not stay in one of them. The grounds are muddy. Close to the resort, the lake is brown & muddy. It is "rustic". Not a place to travel to when there are other choices.

Silverleaf offers "Vacation Escapes" where the owners can use the resort free any available time during their color (red, white, or blue). This creates a horrendous crowd during the weekend which almost completely vanishes Sunday. The owners don't seem to realize that they "own" the property and many things are broken or very used. I haven't had much luck with the staff either.

It is a great place to go in winter if you get a room with a fireplace and plan to spend time in the room with the family. The sunsets off the lake can be fabulous. The outlet shopping is great and very close by. It is a long drive with terrible traffic to Houston. Don't plan to spend everyday there. My family has had a good time there. Just know what you are getting into.
