I personally like Garden City Beach much more than the T-shirt store, miniature golf type area that much of Myrtle Beach is. Garden City Beach is directly south of Myrtle Beach and its beach area is an upscale residential community. Very nice...and minutes away from everything. I particularly liked a community further south called Pawley's Island, an exclusive and beautiful beach community whose historic district includes signs indicating that homes' former owners were South Carolina Lieutenant Governors, etc. The whole area has beautiful beaches and great golf. And the resort has a spacious 2 BR apartments with big tiled baths which include stack washer/dryer units. Murrell's Inlet is often hauntingly beautiful as well. All in all, very much OK.

Convenient location at the South-End of the Myrtle Beach Area near Surfside and Murrells Inlet ... numerous Restaurants, Shops, and Shopping Center less than 1-mile away.
