Howard, I ran into this same problem with my own MVC points and ended up building a site to solve it. It’s called Book My Points (bookmypoints.com). The idea is a co-op: owners with surplus points they won’t use sign up, guests submit booking requests for specific resorts and dates, and when your points fulfill a request you get paid. You keep your ownership, you just put the unused points to work instead of losing them. Monte, the site works the other direction too if you’re still looking at Hawaii for Sept/Oct. You tell us the resort, dates, and unit size, and an owner with matching points books it for you. Would love your feedback if you try it, still early days.
