We have a Canadian advocate who assists members filing complaint with an AG in a particular state. He actually developed a good relationship with the AG office. In addition, CVOA has been helpful. There is a Diamond Embarc Intrawest group, Canada based, that has over 4,000 members. They have provided excellent advice. That group actually got Quebec Bill 178 passed redefining timeshare as a service contract, meaning you can cancel for liberal reasons, like a gym club.
