Do the units vary a lot at this resort?

Reading the reviews it looks like this resort is not your traditional timeshare, but rather consists of wholly owned units that are subject to the condition of refurbishment by the owner? Is that right?

If so, staying here probably requires contacting the RedWeek members that have stayed and seeing what specific units they were in... which to ask for and which to avoid.
