Making reservations at the Westin

Is it difficult to reserved a unit if you wanted to go in 5 or 6 months?? Or do you need to make a reservation 8-12 months from your vacation date? We're looking at late June or late August. How crowded is the resort at this time of the year?

I have usually stayed here in late July and it is usually fully booked all summer. I find the density here much less than the Kaanapali hotels etc. around the pool, restaurant, etc. The beach is rarely crowded as they do not have the hotel density near the villas. I just tried to convert a Feb booking to Aug 4, but it was fully booked, so I will try again for Aug 11 and beyond. I can make reservations 8 months in advance so I am working on that now. I will be renting it, so let me know if you would like to shoot for a particular week. Don
