New Tower

going to the new tower in a few weeks. any feedback from anyone. i know that it is supposed to open tomorrow.

I just returned from staying in the new Lahaina Tower... literally the first guests to stay in the 2 bedroom villa we were assigned. It is beautiful...but of course they are working out some of the kinks. TV reception sometimes iffy...as well as hot water for showers. But as I said, they are constantly working on the problems. The parking garage also has some extremely steep inclines which were tending to scrape the bottoms of heavier vehicles such as vans. The pool area was beautiful too...and there were plenty of chairs between the cement areas and the grassy areas too. We loved it!!

We were extremely lucky and had a full oceanfront corner unit. As I said, "Beautiful!" I hope you are as lucky and have a wonderful time. Are you an owner there?

yes we are owners. we traded in one of our 1 bedroom ocean view units in the old building for a 2 bedroom garden view in the new building. we still have a 1 bedroom ocean view that we will probably sell.

We are MVCI owners at different locations. We used Marriott points to stay in Maui and to get that view.

Yes, we used Marriott points to stay in the new Lahaina Tower at the Maui Marriott Ocean Club. As I said in my very 1st posting...we were extremely lucky. It was all in the timing. It was very last minute...literally day of... when we called the toll free Marriott # and by chance asked if we could use points to stay there. I'm fairly sure that the only reason there was availability was because the Lahaina Tower had literally just opened that weekend and wasn't full to capacity with owners yet. I doubt a chance like that will come our way again. Good luck to you...I hope you are as lucky!

I just posted on the Lahaina Tower forum asking whether Marriott offered any incentives to trade up ?

Can anyone tell me if there is laundry rooms in both towers or just one, and which tower?

Lanai and Molokai are the older towers. In these towers the units don't have washer/dryers. But there is a coin laundry room on the ground level of Molokai tower for everyone to use. Lahaina is the new tower that opened June 2007. Every unit in Lahaina tower has its own washer/dryer.

as i said the old tower and the new tower have laundry rooms. the new tower has laundry rooms on on select floors in addition to the rooms. the old tower has laundry rooms on select floors. not just the ground floor.
