Floor/Tower Requests

We have a 2 BR, Ocean view and book the 1st day that we can (12 months in advance) and even though we request above the 9th floor it is like pulling nails. When we arrive, usally earl and on Friday (1st day of week) they do not honor our request and tell us it is only a request. Many times we have found that some of these higher floors are rented as well as gratis (Ko Olina trying to sell) and owners do not get any priority. The only thing that we were able to do is stay in a non-ocean view the 1st night and move for th following 6 days Any other suggestions?

You may want to put your request in with the conceirge, when they call you before your arrival. That's what we've done in the past.
