CSA Insurance is a SCAM!

Feb 04, 2022

Booked a room that had a strict cancellation policy, so we bought the insurance which we thought would protect us in case of a cancelled flight. Well Air Canada cancelled our flight, we filed a claim, which was DECLINED! They called us and said that they only cover a cancelled flight if it was due to weather, plane malfunction, or a labor strike action. WTH??? Why those exact reasons? So a cancellation for any other reason, of the hundreds of other reasons, you are 100% out of luck! This cost us over $5000 dollars. Thanks RedWeek for choosing such a useless travel insurance provider.

We are sorry to hear that you're not satisfied with the optional Travel Insurance that we offer through CSA/Generali. They're one of the major travel insurance providers and their coverage is pretty standard for the industry. We also provide a link to review the policy before purchasing which contains the way to contact CSA with any policy specific questions.

We've looked at your booking and it shows that you haven't yet cancelled it. Because you still have a valid reservation, you may want to check out flights flying out of Toronto. While we cannot book them for you, we see several airlines that fly to Aruba.

If you've decided that you're absolutely not going to travel, you might want to reach out to the owner via the Discussion to ask if you could let someone else use the week in your place.

If you have any questions, please feel free to let us know at support@redweek.com.
