Per the owner:
1. San Diego Country Estates is a “Gold Crown” resort- the highest level of excellence they have.
2. The complex itself has world-class tennis courts (It was the site of the famous Billy Jean King vs Bobby Riggs Match); great swimming pool, horseback riding with great trails, children’s playground; adjacent to a wonderful 18 hold golf course where San Diego Country Estates members can play as guest members for very reasonable fees; great hiking, beautiful scenery, near a good restaurant at the gold course, near grocery store.
3. The units themselves feature very large living room, two large bedrooms each with king size beds,a private bath, TV and outdoor patio.
I bought the time share in 1979….a long time ago and have enjoyed its use many times. The issues that sold me and my wife on buying it included the absolutely beautiful surrounding mountains with gigantic boulders that clearly show volcanic activity many years ago. The units themselves are really deluxe, with king-size bedrooms and nice bathrooms that you would find in luxury hotels. The Kitchen is very nice and there are balconies or patios so that you can enjoy just sitting outside to read or enjoy the view.
The resort includes many walking trails and roadways and the smell of fresh pine permeates the clean air. The units are near downtown Ramona for shopping but there is a local grocery store near the main check-in building. The tennis courts are world class and then there is the great golf course and swimming pools. My family has enjoyed staying there many times. The final plus is the option to only use a day or two at time rather than have to use an entire week. That is very rare and made this resort unique.
