Per the owner: We have been coming to Aruba to this resort even before it became a timeshare, called Americana. We stayed here with the exception of 1 week that we stayed at Marriott Resort (were very disappointed). Additionally we traveled to a lot of Caribbean Islands & Mexico before and also were not impressed. Aruba is the friendliest, cleanest and safest Island. We have been coming to Barcelo for over 20 years, we befriended so many interesting, wonderful people. They became part of us, so we started to come practically at the same time to see people that we just love. Steve, a Vietnam veteran, could listen to his stories forever or about the book that he wrote. During wintertime a lot of people stay there for 2-3 month, so you become part of them. I love the activities the resort provides and the food! Food is good, really very good; selection or dietary sense is very good. I even complimented the chief for the very moderate salt in food. Almost forgot about location, location, location! It's the best.
