Big Sur and Hearst Castle are enjoyable day trips featuring one of the most beautiful drives in the world along recently reopened California Highway-1: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9MKHFSYLzM8 Unit 311 is an end unit at the top of this Hyatt resort with no units above it, and only one neighbor to the side. It features a double wide patio with views of the ocean and a wood burning fireplace, which is nice because it can get cool in Carmel in the evenings. It has a full kitchen, so you don't always need to eat out if you don't want to. The hot tub, fitness center, and woodshed (where you can access extra firewood and kindling) are all on the same level. The restaurant, bar, and other resort amenities are just a few steps away. My wife and I have owned this unit for more than 20 years and are deeded owners from the original Club program. This means the potential extra fees mentioned above like the housekeeping fee, split week fee, and resort fees DO NOT apply to this reservation. This is a major benefit to renting units from long-time owners. Have a great vacation!
