This is a wonderful resort and this week is so much fun. All the activities centered around the holidays. It was a big disappointment to our family that we had a conflict and are not going to use our week this year. Adults and children both love Marriott’s Harbour Lake and especially this week.

This is a wonderful resort for kids, with a pirate pool for little ones and a pool with slide for older ones. there is also mini golf and many activities for all ages.

Our family has had so many wonderful memories at this resort. It is in a great location and the kids just had so much fun at this property. We didn't feel the need to take them everywhere for entertainment because there was so much to do on property. The staff was fun, friendly yet professional. We liked that the property was not far from all the Disney resorts. Sea World and Discover Cove were very close by. International Drive is also very close which offers many shops, restaurants and more entertainment!

We were there for the fourth of July week of 2018. It was crowded and busy, but the place was very spread out and lovely. They worked hard with activities and being positive. Everything was kept clean, including rooms, pools, etc. Water park atmosphere was nice and fun, but you need to watch little ones, mainly with all the people. This is why my less than perfect review, as there was a drowning in the pirate pool area. Although she was not being monitored by adults, the staff had no idea what to do and it was guest who pulled her out, tried to revive her, had them shut the music off, called 911 and showed EMT the way. It took forever for them to bring out the AED. I had my 11 year old taken away, as soon as I realized it was not going to be good. However, he knew what was going on, was told by young staff that she died that night and does not want to talk about the trip anymore. It is sad for the family, child, other families and ours. Poor training on Marriotts behalf, as there are reports of other near drownings in that pool and the same or prior day a near drowning at another nearby Marriott.

EXCELLENT for families. Activities are provided every hour during the day. During our rest days from Disney, there was plenty to do here. The pools and pirate ship are awesome and the playground great for tots. We really enjoyed roasting marshmallows as a family, but there is a small fee. It is conveniently located to WDW and just a short drive away. We would definitely return.

We have been owners at Marriott's Harbour Lake for 9 or more years, and we love this resort! More importantly, our grandchildren love this resort! They love the pools, the putt-putt, the activities director events, etc., and we love the security of knowing that we have them at a first class resort that is well-managed and maintained! No regrets buying into this very family-oriented resort. The most we can ever get our grandkids to do is go to Disney for two days....they want to stay and play at the resort! It has been a real blessing to our family and will be to yours as well, I am sure!

josephp123, I have owned for over 12 years and was sold on all the promises that never came true. The cost of the maintenance fees are ridiculous and I would like to join the class action suit also. Please contact me.

I love bringing the family here, short trip to Disney or Universal and literally across the street from sea world, great amenities and like I said to my wife we wasted our money going to disney cuz the kids had an awesome time right in the resort

I AM ALSO DIAPPOINTED IN THE COST OF MAINTANCE IT REALLY IS OUT OF CONTROL IT IS AS MUCH MAINTANCE COST AS IN ARUBA AND THAT IS PRETTY BAD I AM JUST UPSET OVER THIS , ITS VERY SAD SOMEONE HAS TO PUT A STOP TO THIS CRAZINESS BECAUSE ARUBA WAS 1,000.00 AND HARBOUR LAKE WAS 560.00 AND KNOW ARUBA IS 1,200.00 AND HARBOR LAKE IS 1,000.00 THIS SHOULD NOT BE HAPPENING ,THEY HAVE SO MANY PLACES AND THINGS IN FLORIDA THAT EVERYONE SHARES THE TAXES SO IS POCKETING OUR MONEY SINCERELY

I do agree that the maintenance fees have jumped tremendously. And if a lawyer feels that a class action lawsuit is justified, I would be interested... BUT ....

I don't feel it's right to rate the resort all 1 star because of that. The location is excellent (for me 5 stars), I've never had a problem with staff or service--everyone has always been as nice and helpful as they could be (5 stars). I haven't seen any indication that the place is not being kept up. The units are always sparkling when we go and the grounds are kept up beautifully (5 stars). The beds are extremely comfortable (5 stars). *** Don't down rate the resort on complaints of maintenance fees being high or the fact that the resort changed it's mind on the planned amenities.***

Please correct me if I'm wrong here, but remember also that the place is maintained by OWNERS, and the maintenance fees are set by the board which is made of owners.

I am also very disheartened about the huge jump in maintenance fees since I purchased in 2003. They have nearly tripled. It is extremely unfair as this was never mentioned in the sales presentation. I can barely afford to use my week as the annual maintenance fee is so high.I also would like to sign onto the class action suit against Marriott. Please contact me about how I do this.

I am also disappointed that they never built more buildings as promised. Would also like to join the class action suit please post information about it.

When I fist bought this they made a lot of promises and never delivered.

WE OWN AND BOUGHT WITH THE BIG PROMISE OF A COMPLETE RESORT WITH A RESTERAUNT, A MAIN STREET WITH A MOVIE THEATER, AND ON AND ON.THEY BLAME 9/11. NOW THE ECONOMY, YET OUR MAINTANANCE OVER DOUBLED IN 9 YEARS.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR OWNERS TO START A CLASS ACTION SUIT AGAINST THE MARRIOTT FOR OUR MONIES TO BE REFUNDED. IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN SIGNING A PETITION AND START THE CLASS ACTION SUIT.THE ATTORNEY WANTS 100 OWNERS WE HAVE 12 IN LESS THAN A WEEK . SO LETS GET MARRIOTT FOR THIER LIES 2010 HAS COME AND GONE AND THE RESORT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO GET INTO BECAUSE THEY REFUSE TO PUT UP MORE BUILDINGS.YET THEY KEEP THEIR GOLF COURSES PRETTY AND BUILD NEW RESORTS. CLASS ACTION SUIT. WE CAN GET ALL OUR MONIES BACK WITH INTEREST.WE NEED NAMES. 100 IS EASY AND THIS LAWYER BELEIVES ONCE THE SUIT STARTS WE WILL HAVE 2000 OR MORE.EVERYONE I SPEAK TO IS TOTTALLY UNHAPPPY WITH THE RESORT.IT IS ALSO GETTING VERY RUN DOWN. This place is awesome for families. Our kids had so much fun, they only wanted to visit a theme park for just 1 day. At Harbour Lake the kids have multiple water areas to go have fun at. There's putt-putt on premisis-- and it's fun and challenging. Grown ups will love the relaxing pool atmosphere, as well as the well equiped (and nice views) from the workout room. There's great poolside bar food and drinks. Don't miss the daily icecream social. Lastly, I've talked with the management team at a reception, and they really care deeply about continual improvement and making things even better than they already are. This a well run resort.

I have stayed at the property with kids now 5 times. First two times I rented a unit. Then purchased a resale.

If you do not have kids. Not really place for you. If you have kids or grandkids it is much fun.

This year my kids did scuba intro in the pool and are still talking about it.

It is not the fanciest rooms, but it has been clean and very family freindly.

A perfect place to for families! Lots to do for everyone. Beautiful property on a lake - loved having coffee in our screened in porch in the morning and takin in the beautiful view of the lake. The kids (and my husband) loved the water slide. There is a smaller water slide (part of a pirate ship) for the younger kids. Mini golf was also a big hit! The unit is spacious and decorated nicely. The beds are comfy and big - something we can always count on when staying at a Marriott property. Location is perfect - close to Sea World and midway between Universal and Disney - lots of options!

My wife and twos kids have been going to this place for the last four years and I could tell you we do not get tire from it, we love it. It is close but far away from everything....close to the parks but away from city traffic and people. We do recommend it 100% and we still continue going.

We are Marriott owners and have stayed at many Marriott properties. This was by far the worst property I have ever been to. The kids activities are great as well as the employees that lead the children's activities. The pools are very fun for the kids BUT when we checked in late at night, I went to put my four children to bed. Every bed had dirty sheets on it. I immediately called and asked for clean sheets. More dirty sheets were brought to us. We ended up with three sets of dirty sheets before we finally received clean sheets. the unit was not clean. It was in desperate need of a deep cleaning. The dishwasher was not working properly, cabinets were falling off hinges. This unit does not have a tub in the master bath, only a shower. We were constantly receiveing phone calls about going to an owner presentation for the new Marriott in Marco Island. Every time we went to the front desk for anything we were accosted by sales people trying to sign us up for a presentation. We finally gave in and went because we truly were interested in the Marco Island property. The manager at the sales department that was trying to get us to buy continually made belittling comments towards me, as in I don't want to give you all the details of the financial aspect of this because it might confuse you. Considering we own 5 Marriott weeks I very obviously know finances well and how to figure things out. I would not recommend this property and I will never return.
