We are neither skiers nor golfers, and we love Pagosa. The activities at the resort blew us away--watercolor pencils, calligraphy, line dancing, orienteering, and more. We hiked the mountains, spent a day in the 20+ mineral spring pools, and ate wonderfully well at the restaurants. The resort is back from the road on a quiet lake, but all the restaurants on the road are within walking distance. The units are separate cabins, so there are stairs, but it also means views from all directions. We really recommend Pagosa!

The Pagosa Springs and surrounding area is Incredible! So much to see and do - golfing, boating, hiking, swimming and more - go and see the gorgeous Rocky Mountains - see and take the spectacular train route from Durango to Silverton - visit one of our nations treasures Mesa Verde National Park - soak in a warm springs right in the cool mountain stream. Wildlife abounds in this very charming area of Colorado. The trip to get here is unforgettable from either north Denver/Colorado Springs or South - Pueblo and the mystic mountains of New Mexico. Google to your hearts content - so much to see and do you will not want to miss it.

This is one of the last remaining real Colorado Ski towns left. Pagosa Springs is NOT Vail or Breckenridge but rather a quaint and slow-paced amazing gem of a town in the San Juan Range of the Rocky Mountains. This week comes with access to an indoor pool, hot tub, workout gym, tennis in the summer, and of course Wolf Creek Ski area.

We just got back from spending a week at this resort and it is beautiful. It is on the west side of town which gives it a low key relaxed feeling. We had one maintenance issue and it was resolved within the hour. I would recommend this resortto families with young children and anyone looking to have a low key get away.

We were able to rent the unit from red week and the process was ver easy! We weren't able to go the listed week but the owner was able to get us a week we could use. I highly recommend using red week and the owners! We had a great family vacation.

What a beautiful location! I have stayed at this resort twice in the last 3 years, once over the 4th of July Holiday with my aunt/uncle and once in Oct. with my parents and another set of aunt/uncles who live in CO year-around. Everyone loved this location and all want to go back to this place and stay again every 2 years! NONE OF US SKi or Golf, but it has a great mountain location -- though it is very remote. Nearest airport with commerical service is Durango. We had snow here in mid-Oct. -- so be warned, pack warm clothing as temperatures can be extreme hot or cold either way -- but wow!!! The views here are just majestic! We had a one bedroom /one bath during our first stay, but also had a pull-out murphy bed, and twin pullout sleeper sofa in the living room. our unit was a lockout but we only used one side -- the unit was older but HUGE. About 1200 sq ft. The bedroom was a king and we had our own washer /dryer, kitchen, smaller dining area and living room -- fireplace was included. Just one bathroom for up to 6 people though -- luckily we only had 3 for that stay. Shower/Tub combo. Adequate kitchen -- lots of dishes and utensils included. our Room keys accessed a shared back area -- with a 10 person hot -tub. It looked out to the mountains and to the golf course!!! Very nice bonus. Never met our neighbors. nor heard them during our entire stay over the Fourth of July -- it was very busy and every unit was fulll -- but check-in and staff were extremely polite and accomodating. 2nd trip was a year later and in October -- near the last week but not over Halloween. It snowed! We explored the hot springs, downtown areas -- great restaurants here!!! We also did the mountain train experience -- wonderful steam engines and wonderful mountain views with lots of wildlife too! We also saw the falls on the way up to the Wolf Creek Ski area. Also saw the continental divide here as well -- and hiked around that area for a few hours! So much to see and do in this area -- you'll need 2-3 weeks just to see everything. Not to be missed -- on the way back from the Ski area there is a pull-off scenic highway view as you go down the mountain towards Pagosa -- pull over!!! IT has a 5000-6000 ft drop-off that overlooks the entire city and valley -- absolutely breath-taking and not to be missed!

Unbelievable, what a great resort run by fantastic people. Everyone was so nice and we got a hair dryier that had been lifted from our unit without delay. Also, picked up a humidifier from the office, SWEET! It is really dry up in the mountains. Purgatory is nic and we even went up in the mountains to Silverton but Wolf Creek Ski Resort is so convenient and so nice that it is the obvious choice. Went week 7 and enjoyed beautiful weather and wide open roads. (Great becaus sometimes it gets difficult or impossible in the mountain passes after a foot or so. Went on the narrow gauge steam train up the mountain and had a great time. The fellow passengers were more interesting than the breaathtaking views so I guess you know the passengers were the greatest.

The resort units are spacious and well insulated and still have formica countertops and small TVs. However, we were up there to ski and sight see and read books by the fireplace and did turn the TV on except to catch the weather.

The ride through the mountains on the well laid out 4 lane HWY from Albq through Durango to Pagosa Springs was beautiful as even in the Winter the rock formations and the color of the mountains just leaves you in awe of the majesty and wondering how this could have been formed.

This was my first time in Pagosa Springs but I am already looking forward to snowboarding next year with the Grandkids during my week 7 at the Eagles Loft!

We own a unit at Teal Landing in Pagosa Springs and come back every year. It's gorgeous country with lots of things to do. The resort is spread out over many acres with a lake and a golf course. The views are spectacular. Hiking, biking, and fly fishing is great. A very large rec center offers an indoor pool and jacuzzi with weight room and cardio equipment. The Activity Center has an assortment of classes including watercolor, tai chi, tennis. The hot air balloons in late September are spectacular. Close to Mesa Verde, the Durango-Silverton train, Wolf Creek Pass skiing. The units are really nice. Comfortable and well-appointed. Not high-end luxurious, but well done. The staff are unfailingly helpful. We never rent or exchange this unit because we enjoy being here too much.

Our first time at Wyndham Pagosa, we have a fixed week 10 (March 8-15, 2008) caught a direct flight to ABQ, drove the four plus hours to Pagosa Springs, great drive during the daylight hours, (more than one way to get to and from ABQ). Resort is spread out over many acres, our Eagles Loft unit was fairly large, next to a small lake, 2b/2b with a large loft with two queen beds and a card table and four chairs, so four queen beds in all. Unit was clean and well stocked with kitchen dishes and utensils, short on cupboard space for groceries. Unit could use updating especially kitchen and baths are showing age but clean and comfortable for our March spring break ski vacation. Lots of stairs for seniors or disabled is not a good unit for sure. Down spiral stairs from second level is a large Jacuzzi style tub in the base of the unit but the hot water heater could not fill it up without running out. Unit had washer/dryer, WiFi, two puny TVs, DVD and small Sony stereo…we always take plenty of DVDs for our toddler. Resort has Alpen Hause ski/board rental on site at Wydham Pro Shop, (Golf in Summer, Ski/Board in winter) with excellent service and prices. They tuned my best skis, did a super job.

Snow was deep at Wolf Creek Pass (25+ miles away) and Purgatory Mountain Resort (76+miles away), We had bright sunny warm weather with a deep base, but it can get icy in the early AM without fresh snow…we saw lots of toasted skiers at Wolf Creek as they forget about the high altitude. The hot springs were enjoyable and the wife went back for some spa treatments.

Great resort! We've been there twice now, both times in February for skiing. The units are spacious, with excellent kitchens, bathrooms, washer/dryer (needed for drying your wet hats, gloves, etc.). Many units surround a golf course, so your kids can play in the snow right outside your door. The drive to Wolf Creek Ski Area is about 30 - 45 minutes (very beautiful drive). Wolf Creek is priced very reasonably, including the lessons, and has great trails. To save yourself time, you can rent skis from Alpen Haus right there on the Wyndham Pagosa property. It's just a few dollars more, but when you get to the mountain, you avoid the lines for ski rentals.

The town of Pagosa Springs has a great outdoor hot springs - what fun it is to lounge around in the hot springs with snow all around you! Also, on days you choose to chill at the resort, you can go over to the fitness center and swim in the indoor pool, and play raquetball or basketball. Unfortunately, only adults are allowed on the fitness equipment.

A huge grocery store is only a mile away, and there are litterally dozens, if not a hundred restaurants in town. Oh, and you can even go sledding on a hill just a few miles from the resort. Don't forget your sleds! Or pick some up in Santa Fe, NM.

Excellent location. We stayed in March 2007. Fairfield has now merged with Wyndam. The staff was very courteous and helpful and not pushy about timeshare sales. We stayed in a 1 BR Ptarmigan unit which is next to the golf course and was very spacious. The views are nice all around. Shopping and restaurants are very close. We liked the Italian Restaurant (D Jongis?) close by and Victoria's Parlor in town. The PSP pizza place was also good. The new Cinnamon Melts at McDonalds made a great dessert to top off any meal.

Skiing was great at Wolf Creek and the Ski instructors were most helpful. We will know next time to just bring a work out nylon sweat suit to wear when skiing here in March.

Just finished a stay at the resort this past week ( April 2-9 06). Had a really relaxing time. The unit was a two bedroom in the Masters unit. The Masters is an older section but as been maintained very well. The view from the room was spectacular. We found the staff to be very friendly. Activities Complex was a little small and only one internet computer. The bed was very comfortable. We will go again. The week we visited was an off week trip. I had a few left over points that we did not use through Fairfield. We rolled them into RCI which was for a blue week studio. We we called to make reservations, the upgraded us to a two bedroom deluxe without us asking. Very pleased!

Excellent timeshare. We rented a 2 bedroom unit in Elk Run for my family of 5 (including 3 teenagers). The spacious split level provided for privacy and plenty of room for us to hang out together in the evenings. The master bedroom downstairs was quiet and had a beautiful view. We snowboarded at Wolf Creek-the drive is 23 miles away-but it is so beautiful-we did not mind. We traveled in March 2005.

I traveled to Fairfield Pagosa Springs summer of 2000. The room was nice with view of lake, but the bed was extremely uncomfortable. Also, if you don't pull the shade over the window in the bedroom ceiling your room will be over 100 degrees. The resort is spread out which makes for nice walks or jogs in the morning, though you have to watch out for goose droppings. The timeshare people are a little pushy, had to say "No" too many times. Traveled in a different direction from the resort each day. Mesa Verde was worth the drive, Creede is a fun place to explore, and the Durango Vaudeville show a must. My favorite trip was to Silverton. I drove and took pictures of the old steam train as it made its way to Silverton. If you travel to Silverton have lunch at the Handlebar Saloon, it has alot of character and good food. Took my parents to Pagosa Springs in July 2004. We each had a 1-bedroom in newer units on the golf course. My parents loved the place and surrounding area. We went flyfishing one day in Arizona, which was at the base of a dam in a deep fishing hole. There were so many boats in the area I thought I was in a Los Angeles traffic jam. Don't recommend the flyfishing trip booked through the resort. Fairfield Pagosa Resort is 4 Stars but surrounding area 5 Stars.
