jillh83: a truly bizarre experience but in our 11 yrs we can truthfully say that this is NOT the norm for a Marriott property. This resort is tops - location, landscaping, amenities, staff, the works. We are going on 12 yrs of our legacy weeks ownership. Whenever there is a problem (nothing is ever 100% trouble free when traveling) the staff fixes it and does it with a smile. So, if you weren't a happy camper, please don't return so there will be more spots for the rest of us very happy campers. We love our annual 2 wks and the people we meet are nearly always of the same mindset. We grill and eat in. Much less hassle than waiting for a meal off site. BTW, the island has its own Police/Fire Station/Town Hall. Cameras monitor the incoming and outgoing traffic. We have NEVER felt unsafe in our 11 yrs even when we were able to walk to the Marina, through the neighboring private residences or down to the Inlet. This is unquestionably a safe area. Few homes have "bars" on the windows. This is NOT Miami. Hope that helps others.

What a beautiful resort! We are enjoying a great week stay away from the snowstorm in the Northeast! The accommodations are beautiful and the location on the ocean is perfect. The staff is very helpful and responsive. Our unit is very clean. Our teenagers have also enjoyed this resort every year for our family Spring Break. The resort has a good mix of adults and multi generations, which makes it great for family get-togethers.

Definitely one of the top resorts in the Marriott system. We are highly experienced 40+ year veterans of timesharing. The Marriott name guarantees a first rate experience for the discriminating owner.

It is understandable that some adolescent and adolescent-minded visitors may not enjoy this resort. This resort is NOT for the "MOUSE" crowd. We all have unique needs and time and age changes some desires.

The discriminating vacationer will research the timeshare and match his/her needs. This resort is first rate for adults and families.

Of course a car is necessary. Why would anyone holiday without anautomobile? There are hundreds of great restaurants forthe epicurean.

There are several political entities in the greater Palm Beach area.

Take some time to look at the hundreds of vacation options.

Ocean Pointe is a great home base to discover the demographics and diversity of southern Florida.

Marriott’s Ocean Pointe is a fantastic 12-month Marriott Vacation Club, and we are careful to emphasize “Marriott Vacation Club.” Marriott offers three Ocean front properties on Singer Island in northeast Palm Beach. The “greater Palm Beach area” offers nearly 50 Marriott properties varying from Courtyard to Ritz-Carlton to Marriott Resorts to three Marriott Vacation Clubs.

We are greeted by a young enthusiastic Marriott Associate, Shaaray. Shaaray is filled with sunshine on an evening with light rain.

We know that Shaaray has already greeted 60+ Marriott owners; however, Shaaray’s “mile wide smile” and temperament are greatly welcomed. Shaaray makes us feel like we are her most important guests at Marriott’s Ocean Pointe.

Shaaray will soon have a degree in hospitality, and her education shows. We predict that Shaaray shall have a great future.

Note: Marriott Vacation Club offers a tiered protocol in assigning the villas; owners receive the highest priority in villa views and location; Marriott Club and Marriott Interval International owners receive high priority in villa assignments; non-Marriott Interval trades and the general renting public receive the lowest priority in villa assignments. Nevertheless, a two BR/br Villa with full kitchen, dining and living area is superior for a family of couples holiday.

Marriott’s Ocean Pointe is an extremely desirable Atlantic Ocean Front Marriott Vacation Club. If you are ready for an upscale holiday oceanfront, this is THE Place! Marriott’s Ocean Pointe is a perfect holiday retreat for families and for couples. We always take delight in seeing multi-generations using several condo units to holiday. Our advice is to reserve a two bedroom or at least a one-bedroom property. Please do not “settle” for a studio unit.

We observe that many guests of Marriott’s Ocean Pointe are either Marriott “timeshare” owners or owners of other branded timeshares. Other guests may have “booked” Marriott’s Ocean Pointe Vacation Club, and may not quite be certain of the difference between Marriott’s Ocean Pointe Vacation Club or Marriott’s Oceana Palms Vacation Club, and Palm Beach Marriott Singer Island Beach Resort & Spa. All three properties are Atlantic Ocean front, and all three use common terminology: “Condo Style Suite, 2 Bedroom Condominium, Bedroom 1: 1 King, Bedroom 2: 2 Double, Bathrooms: 2.”

Marriott Singer Island Beach Resort & Spa is similar to a Marriott Vacation club, and offers “resort hotel” amenities such as daily maid service, numerous on-property dining areas, and general “hotel” features.

We understand that an automobile is essential, and we fly into West Palm Beach, select a car rental, and holiday. We cherish the nearby Publix supermarket for morning breakfast preparation, take breakfast and coffee on our private decks, and either dine out at the many Palm Beach area restaurants or prepare lunches and dinners at our condos. All condos are equipped with washers and dryers. I might be happy to enjoy the Atlantic Ocean all week and never leave the property; however, my wife is a list maker, and she determines if we are going shopping on Worth Avenue, visiting upscale consignment shops, visiting Clematis Street and CityPlace, Antiquing, doing the Gardens Mall, visiting the zoo, museums, orchid parks, and selecting the restaurants.

We are greatly pleased with our fifth floor Atlantic Ocean view villa. We can view the Atlantic Ocean and beach for “miles and miles.”

We purchased Marriott’s sight unseen, at pre-construction prices seventeen years ago, and now we own eight Marriott Atlantic Ocean villas. Over the past ten years we have been selling our non-Marriott brands and buying Marriott.

We encourage Marriott to build in the Florida Keys.

Please do some research on the Palm Beach area; there is magnificent shopping, restaurants, nature centers, and a newer Publix market close by.

We were at Ocean Pointe for two weeks in February. It was our third time at this resort and we think it is just a wonderful place to vacation. Our unit was the furthest back from the ocean but we still had an amazing view of the ocean from our living room, bedroom and balcony.

Each day there are activities planned if you want to participate. The pools are great and the ocean is fantastic. We love being able to walk to the beach and sit and watch the boats go by.

The staff is the wonderful. Mike Y., Guest Service Representatve, made us feel so welcome upon check in and was so friendly and professional. Sarah S., Activities Attendant, helped us understand more about our iPad and iPhone with a smile on her face. She could not have been nicer. And Concepcion in housekeeping did a great job. I requested our unit be cleaned at a specific time that I knew we would be out and she was there just as I requested. She was delightful.

We are already planning our vacation for next year and hope to make it three weeks.

Outstanding resort although difficult to get into because many owners do not want to trade - they just want to continue to come back to their home resort. It is continually improving and has increased the offerings for young families with kids each year. Near affluent areas with great shopping and restaurants. The facility itself is well maintained by a friendly staff.

The perfect family-oriented ocean resort! That is what I wrote when I rated this resort a few years ago. Nothing has changed since then. Our family goes here every year. If we didn't then the kids (and some of the adults) would drive us crazy.

Quiet area, but they do have things to do. If you're not satisfied with great beach, turquoise water, 4 pools, 3 hot tubs, 2 tiki bars with tasty food, minature golf, kids water playground,very comfortable rooms all with balconies,daily adult and kid activities, tennis, volleyball, walking distance to some restaurants, free parking, and a friendly staff. There are short drives to Palm Beach, great shopping malls, movies marinas, and a ton of restaurants.

We spent March 29-April 5 in a two bedroom condo with our daughter, son-in-law and grandchildren and thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff were all very kind and responsive. We loved the beach and took many long walks. Our granddaughter loved all of the activities that were scheduled all day and some in the evening. The rooms was beautiful and we had a wonderful ocean view. T.King was great to work with and wouldn't hesitate to come back. The only thing I would like is to have good restaurants a little closer.

We could not have been happier with our family Christmas week at Ocean Pointe. We, the grandparents, our 2 sons and their families which included 1 boy, 19, and 4 girls, 16, 12, 3, and 15 months all had a wonderful time. There was never a boring moment for any of us. All dealings with staff were extremely pleasant. The beds (including sofabeds), and bedding were more than comfortable. I can think of no negatives for this trip. We would do it again in a heartbeat!

I have been coming to Ocean Pointe for 10 years now, and this Is my favorite property! I proposed to my wife on this beach, and our child due on Oct 11th will swim in this beach. This property is like our second home, and feels like home when we stay!

A favorite Marriott location!! We go several weeks each year. The beach and resort have a private resort feel, not crowded. Numerous activities for adults and families with kids of all ages. This is not South Beach for the single crowd. Several buildings have recently been updated and all have fabulous Marriott comfort bedding. The kitchen is well equipped for those desiring the convenience of in unit prepping. Numerous favorite restaurants around. There is nothing not to love about this resort. We own four Marriott weeks elsewhere and are always trading into this location. Convenient access to FLL or PBI airports or for many driving from numerous locations. The number of people who return here says it all!!

As an owner of several Marriott timeshare weeks I have to say this is one I use when taking children teens, and their families. This is also good when just adults.

I use Oceana Palms when by ourself or have adult guest. My grandchildren prefer Ocean Pointe

We have stayed at Ocean Pointe several times and have enjoyed each stay. We have always found the staff very helpful and attentive. Great restraunts and activities.

This is a great resort to go to relax. The beach is just steps away, and the grounds are meticulously maintained. We didn't interact much with the resort staff, but their recommendations for local restaurants were spot on.

We had a one bedroom for the week. While I didn't like some of the furnishings, that's more a matter of personal taste. The beds were comfortable, and the views from our oceanview room were great. We will be back.

We stayed at this resort for the first time renting a timeshare. It exceptionally clean, safe and well kept resort. The staff was great, and the resort offered lots to do for all ages. It is more of a adult/family resort, not the singles scene. The area has lots to offer, great shopping and restaurants within easy driving or walking distance. There is a pizza hut and starbucks on the resort as well. We also stayed in the Hollywood Beach area, and found it much to busy for our tastes. The resort is great, you just have to know what you want out of your vacation.

We found this time-share resort an excellent place to stay for mature adults and will return if our schedule allows. it is spacious (unless you make the mistake of using a lock-out) and nicely equipped. The staff is professional. Its shortcomings are that they have no bell boys to help with luggage available at each of the four buildings when you arrive. More importantly, the owners have cheaped out and eliminated the cleaning and maid service. So if you like things cleaned and beds made as a daily service, you are plum out of luck. Also, don't come in during the later hours or you may not be able to find a place to park your car.

This is a top notch resort and the villas are beutiful.

Marriott International has really out done themselves . Great vacation value.

I have been here five times in eight years. The resort is funfor kids, nice beach, good pools. The rooms have been excellent to below average, depending on which building you're in that year and where they are in renovations. They need a second marketplace and a restaurant would do well.

We just returned from a week at Marriott's Ocean Pointe Resort (my husband, myself and 4 daughters (16-9). The resort is beatiful and very well maintained. We had a roomy 2 bedroom villa with a great view of the ocean from the 6th floor. The resort is laid out so many of the villas have ocean views. We rented directly from an owner and I felt it was a great buy (even with 3 days of rain!) Now let me start by saying our vacation was somewhat dappened by tropical storm Faye. But the days that were nice were spectacular. The poolside had the feel of being at a caribbean resort. The ocean water was crystal blue with perfect waves. We managed to find a couple of restaurants close by...good takeout from Portifino's, Duffy''s was alot of fun for the kids and had desent pub food. I would definetley rent through redweek again and would also return to this resort
