The Villas at Banyan Bay

We traded thru RCI and stayed here in late Aug-early Sept Sept 2013. It is a nice resort in an excellent location on the island. We stayed in a 2 bed/2bath unit facing the water. AWESOME! The grounds are nicely kept and the pool area is immaculate. The resort has security 24/7 and the sand is swept each morning. The units are a bit outdated but the housekeeping is excellent. Staff were all very nice.

There is a restaurant on site which has an excellent location. We ate there 3 times and found food and service inconsistent. Still, having a restaurant on grounds is a bonus.

The walk to town from the resort in around 1.5 miles via the beach. Transportation otherwise is via golf carts. Expect potholes!

Transportation was pretty straight forward for us from the States. We had a 5 hour flight into Belize City. Then there is a short flight to Ambergis Caye. We used a taxi -shuttle to locate the resort. English is the official language.

The resort is a smallish one. There were couples and families with children. We enjoyed our stay. We hope to return.

I have loved Belize and traveled there 13 times. This resort is so nice! Beautiful view. Best Diving I've ever done!Dive Shop on dock and can leave right from resort.It is clean and well kept.
