Marriott's Shadow Ridge - The Villages Reviews & Ratings

We LOVE staying here. There are several choice pool areas, an excellent golf course and beautiful vistas. The rooms were updated in 2024-25. Marriott is quality. Palm Desert offers great restaurants, a beautiful Paseo filled with public art and great shops and the best zoo within 15 minutes of Shadow Ridge.

Shadow Ridge offers something for everyone: great swimming pools, golf, tennis, a fitness center, and activities for kids and families. There is also a beach volleyball court and a movie theater. The rooms are beautiful and spacious, with a well-stocked kitchen so that you can make a great meal, and you can also use the conveniently located grills outside. If you are going to Coachella, you can hop on the Shuttle bus just a few miles away. There are several dining options, including a new Pizzeria and a well-stocked Marketplace.

We have vacationed at Shadow Ridge for many years with family and friends. We especially enjoy the pools, golf course and access to many close by dining options. The proximity to Costco, the mall and I-10 is close by. The weather is typically mild mid 70’s during the day. The pools are heated year round. If you get lucky, there may be snow at the top of the tram which always is a bonus.

Great location near shops and restaurants! The Marriott beds are super comfortable! We enjoy attending the BNP tennis tournament in nearby Indian Wells and dining in the many fine restaurants in the area. This resort is perfect for golf and tennis enthusiasts. The resort also offers daily activities for families.

Nestled at the foot of the majestic Sierra Nevada Mountains, this resort offers 18 holes of championship golf and other activities, surrounded by serene views of desert sunsets. You can also elevate your game at the on-site Marriott Golf Academy.

Excellent customer service and amenities! Fazio golf course is fantastic. Great driving range and lessons available.

This is a beautiful and relaxing resort that we frequently visit. We love the pool with the huge television and the views are amazing! Great for walks and their are so many great places to eat!!! The kitchen has all you need to make appetizers and drinks and the bed is very comfortable. We have so many great memories from Shadow Ridge Resort in Palm Desert.

The location is fantastic — easy to get to and close to everything you need. The resort offers amazing amenities, and there are plenty of activities for all ages to enjoy. My family has made so many wonderful memories here over Thanksgiving week — it’s become one of our favorite traditions. A perfect spot for both relaxation and fun!
