Evergreen Valley is a Four Seasons Timeshare and rental resort located in East Stoneham, Maine. The Inn is situated on 2,200 picturesque acres in the heart of Maine's wilderness, bordering on New Hampshire's White Mountain National Forest.

So as to capture the tranquility of this setting, there are no phones in the rooms but there are phones and fax services available at the front desk, and messages are brought to your door. If your timing is right you will see deer, moose, heron, osprey, wild ducks, Canada geese, and snapping turtles at the nearby Wildlife Blind in the National Forest.

There are plenty of attractions in the area for those who want to venture out in the area. Seasonally, the available activities include numerous hiking trails, mountain biking, sky-diving, horseback riding, and golfing. In this winter paradise, enjoy snowmobiling, cross-country, downhill skiing or snowboarding at nearby expert and novice slopes.

How about fishing in nearby streams, ponds and beautiful lakes? There's bass and trout fishing, canoeing, boating and swimming just minutes away in the many secluded ponds and lakes. National Geographic says Kezar Lake is one of the most beautiful in America!

Outlet shopping? There are great shopping bargains at outlet and specialty stores in nearby North Conway only 25 minutes away. Explore Portland's Old Port and coastal areas of Maine - only 1.5 hours away.

We stayed at Evergreen 7-5 thru 12, 2008 and enjoyed the peace, quiet and natural setting there. Lots of trails to hike, including one up the hill behind the lodges at Evergreen. It goes up to an amazing house built back in the late 1800's;(info available at the resort, now abandoned, but maintained by Evergreen. Wonderful views from there. Oxford County area near Evergreen is full of old mines and places to hunt for mica, tourmaline, amethyst, aquamarine,etc. Some require quite a hike to them, but others are an easy trek from the road.
Our two room suite was simple but comfortable. It had an old combined stove, sink, refrigerator assembly of probably the 50's mode, but it was clean, it did what we needed. The staff were wonderful, friendly and quite helpful.
The down side, as it were, was that the nearest town of any size is at least 15 miles away. The closest store is less that ten miles, but is only open until 7 p.m. We were not aware that there was no grocery store of any size closer than 15 miles or we would have bought food, etc. before we checked in to the Inn. The coin laundry at the Inn is open 24/7 so that was good.
We would go again for sure, but come prepared with supplies before we got there. We exchanged a Silverleaf week for the week at Evergreen.

We went in August.
Close to outlet mall in N Conway N.H. Approx 1 1/2 hrs from Portland and some beautiful beaches.
Lakes and ponds everywhere.
Many come in winter for snowmobiling and ice fishing.
A different experience then what we are used to but we plan on coming back.
