Sheraton Lakeside Terrace Villas at Mountain Vista

We stayed at the Sheraton Lakeside Terrace Villas in Avon, CO during New Year’s Week and had an absolutely phenomenal experience from start to finish. If you’re looking for a luxurious, family-friendly, and perfectly located mountain getaway—this is it.

The villa itself was spacious, warm, and beautifully maintained. With over 1,400 square feet, we never felt crowded, even with a full group. The two king bedrooms were incredibly comfortable, and the master suite with a Jacuzzi tub and fireplace felt like a private spa retreat. The den with a door and an extra sleeper sofa gave us flexibility for additional guests or workspace. Everything was impeccably clean and well-stocked.

We especially loved the fully equipped kitchen, which made it easy to cook meals and enjoy family dinners. The washer and dryer in the unit were a huge bonus during our ski trip, and the balcony with a gas grill made for some great après-ski moments. Both gas fireplaces added the perfect cozy touch after long days on the slopes.

Location-wise, you can’t beat it. Beaver Creek Resort is just minutes away, and Vail is a quick 15-minute drive or a free bus ride from nearby Avon Station. Ski access was easy, and having ski lockers and covered parking made things even smoother.

One of the best surprises was the Avon Recreation Center right across the street—free access included with our stay! Our kids loved the water slide and lazy river, while we took advantage of the fitness center, steam room, and hot tub to unwind. It’s an outstanding facility that really sets this property apart.

From the warm welcome by the front desk staff to the unbeatable location and thoughtful in-room amenities, this was easily one of the best ski vacations we've ever had. The resort has a calm, residential feel while still offering access to world-class skiing, dining, and winter festivities.

I wouldn’t hesitate to book this villa again for future winter holidays. Highly recommended for families, couples, or anyone wanting the best of the Vail Valley with all the comforts of home—and then some!
