This is the best resort with the best water on Singer Island. The beach, pool and water are always perfect. The staff is amazing and the resort is totally clean. EASY to find and perfect location if you want to leave for dinner, shopping or go visit a marina. Our favorite Marriott!!

Oceana Palms is NEW!, sparkling, and shiny! Great addition to the Marriott stable; now Marriott add a resort in the Florida Keys(Marathon?)

Marriott’s Oceana Palms has been a works in progress for several years. For some reason, Marriott’s Oceana Palms has only a tiny sign on the A1A, and a tiny driveway to enter.

Look to the skies: Marriott’s Oceana Palms is two 19-story condos with “unique bird nest like structures” on top. We have driven by the entrance to building one for several years, and it was never clear where to enter.

It must be a nightmare after dark to navigate Marriott’s Oceana Palms.

The logical first building is actually building number two, and taking the logical ramp to the parking garage results in a bright yellow barrier. Fortunately, there is a call box. “Back up and pull forward,” comes the instructions. Fortunately, there are no cars as obstacles.

OK, we back up and see the sign to the employee parking. As I inch forward, in very tiny letters is the smallest word, “registration.” We follow, and there really is no designated registration parking area. There is a drive- way with a small 15-minute warning sign.

I know all of Marriott’s attempts to frustrate new guests will fail in a few minutes. We are in the lobby, and greeted by a ball of energy, LaSahante. This young woman is destined for upper management.

In our view, Marriott should promote LaShante to a world wide training position for ALL Marriott employees, who meet and greet the public. In seconds, LaShante convinces us that we are the most important guests to ever navigate the quandary of a Marriott reception area.

LaShante promises us that while we are not in building one, oceanfront, that our villa in building two on the 17th floor is spectacular, and we believe her.

Keys in hands, we park on level three, and take our luggage to floor 17. LaShante was absolutely correct.

Oceana Palms is delightful. As owners at Ocean Pointe, we have read the mindless opinions comparing Ocean Pointe to Oceana Palms. Yes, apples are not oranges.

Oceana Palms is about 1,000 square feet (or smaller) than the 1200 square feet Ocean Pointe villas.

Oceana Palms is NEW!, sparkling, and shiny! Nearly all Oceana Palms have large ocean-front or ocean view, large decks. Oceana Palms is almost at the Atlantic Ocean with large pool and great amenities.

Oceana Palms is not “better” than Ocean Pointe. Oceana Palms is newer, and extremely attractive. Would we trade our Ocean Pointe Villa for an Oceana Palms Villa. Well, yes, IF no dollars were involved.

Do we still love our Ocean Pointe Villa? Well, yes. If we trade again into a different season, would it matter if we traded into Oceana Palms or Ocean Pointe? Absolutely not!

Get real! Both Oceana Palms and Ocean Pointe are Palm Beach Atlantic Ocean front properties. In our view, Marriott “has got both apples and oranges right!”

One of the best of the 4 excellent Marriott oceanfront we stay at. Right on one of the best beaches in Florida. Great restaurants and shopping (e.g.Worth Avenue) within minutes.

Apples vs. oranges? No. A more accurate comparison between Oceana Palms and Ocean Point would be a vibrant attractive 25 year old and a tired, but still functioning 55 year old (such as myself). Ocean point needs a serious refit. We purchased Oceana Palms because Ocean point was very "tired" with dated looking rooms and appliances and to be honest it seemed "dirty." Would you rather drive a rusty chevy malibu or a new BMW? Certainly not apples and oranges.

We are midweek into our second week here and have just loved our stay so far. I cannot say enough about the outstanding staffing and the beautiful well-appointed spotlessly clean villas.

Our first week was in an OF villa, high floor. Nothing short of perfect. The views were out of this world. The balconies are huge and the furniture very comfortable.

Our second week was in an OV room, top floor - stellar views as well. Even though it is OV - I am sitting here on my laptop facing the ocean-no complaints here at all.

The balcony is furnished with a large round table with four chairs on one side and an additional two chairs and table on the other side. The proximity of the resort to EVERYTHING is great. The shopping is amazing and the dining choices are limitless. The villa furnishings are very comfortable and the bedding is heaven on earth. Appliances are top of the line - clean and full size. Health club has great equipment and the grounds are stunning.

I mentioned the staff - and I will say again, that they are very attentive; they know the owners by name and preferences and go out of their way to make sure everyone is comfortable and enjoying themselves. They are open to suggestions and seemed to put them into action as soon as the idea was brought up. Very impressed. Outstanding and energetic management and happy, enthusiastic staff. Job well done.

The days have been in the upper 80's - I am sure that they are at full capacity, yet it never seemed crowded. Pools are sparkling, temperature perfect and there is awesome, live, fun music every day but Sunday when football was on every Tv- all different games - even Red Zone ticket games - fun atmosphere.

The beach area is incredible - the resort is right on the ocean and both resorts on either side are far enough away and possibly unoccupied as their beachfronts are void of people, and the property on the north side is now a vacant lot.

Elevators are large and fast and parking is plentiful.

We're just about to finish our first vacation here at OP. We booked it using the new destination points program.

Overall this is a top notch property, far more luxurious and better maintained than the neighboring Marriott timeshare at Ocean Pointe. The beach, pool and fitness center are outstanding. The beach offers free chaise lounges, a rarity on Singer Island. All of the units are 2 bedrooms and none lock off. The room sizes are quite a bit smaller than at Ocean Pointe, especially the second bedroom (which is a lockoff at Ocean Pointe), but they are better maintained and more tastefully furnished.

Our unit on the 14th floor had glorious views of the ocean and intracoastal from all the rooms and from the huge balcony with room for a table on one side and chairs on the other. Parking in the garage is easy, and the elevators are never crowded. On the downside, the windows in the bedrooms do not open, so you need to rely on the a/c, even when the temperature is pleasant outside. That means that you don't hear the sound of the surf. My other complaint, admittedly minor, is that there is only one sink in the kitchen and hence no place to dry dishes (except for the dishwasher). On the other hand, the appliances are all new and top notch, and the fit and finish of the kitchens and bathrooms is outstanding.

Marriott has done a superb job on this new property. Congratulations are in order. We definitely plan to return.

This resort is great. Little different then some other expansive MVCI, but very well thought out. Great rooms close to the beach and wonderful views. Corner Ocean front rooms are amazing, the tall windows that make the room bright and offer views of both the atlantic and the Intercoastal waterway. Good Stuff
