If you are expecting the quality of a Hilton or a Wyndham, you need to set your expectations
much, much lower. We had a 3 bedroom unit which was very spacious and extremely quiet;
however, there is a very good reason why the maintenance fees are so low, the reason being that
you get what you pay for! There appears to be very little maintenance, if any! The wallpaper was
peeling, the carpet had buckles in it, the linoleum in the kitchen had holes and stains everywhere.
The woodwork appeared as if a dog had chewed on it, the front doorway was peeling and not only
in need of paint, but a weather strip. The wind blew freely beneath the door. The slate hearth for
the firplace was busted up and the firebricks were cracked. Due to so many fires within the resort,
the resort has issued a moratorium on the use of the fireplaces, which was very important in our
unit!!! The kitchen light's shade was cracked and had been glued back together. The furniture was
sparse (which was not really a major problem); however, it was extremely worn and outdated. The
cleanliness of the unit also left something to be desired, as we had to clean the living room when
we arrived. As far as amenities provided, the only thing is soap. The guest must provide everything
else. Make sure that you also take your hairdryers and extra TV's for the kids to use for their video
games. There are only two TV's provided in a 3 bedroom unit.
The staff was friendly, but completely useless for help and information. When asked what time the
ski and tubing area opened and the cost, the young man at the activities desk said, "I don't even
though if they do that this time of year." (You pass the slopes when you enter the property and
see people using them!!!!!) Much of the inventory for the kitchen was missing, and when my
husband went to the desk to get a pancake spatula, the two young ladies working had no idea
what a pancake spatula looked like! (This was how it was listed on the inventory sheet.)
Now that I have given the negatives, there were some positives. We actually had a very nice time.
As I stated above, the place was very quiet and spacious. We also went tubing and sight seeing
The views were very nice even in February and the restaurant at Bryce Mt. was fun. The food was
good, and the DJ played awesome music.
With all being said and done, we will return. We will know that we definitely need to lower our
expectations before arriving, bring our own personal items and not ask the staff for help!
