We love staying here. Visited in October and January, beautiful weather both times. Quiet beach, kayak to the point for snorkeling. Actual hiking trails at resort on the only TPC golf course outside the United States, a golfers dream. A lovely spa is on site. Excellent food at all the restaurants, all inclusive is available for additional charge.

Visited Loreto VDP for the first time last month. Amazing natural beauty. Very secluded and in such a natural state. The ocean being surrounded by mountains felt like being in Hawaii. Very peaceful and pristine.

Loreto resort is STUNNING and actually more luxurious than I ever thought we could afford! And the staff is soo welcoming! We're already planning our next trip. Amazing golf course, food, and service. The beach is perfect for kids to play in the shallow waters safely. And great for adults to soak in and have cocktails from the beach bar. Magnificent view and perfect for water activity

This resort is so luxury and so private, located in a bay where you can relax, enjoy the scenery, and rest. There is not a ton of solicitation on the beaches and other public areas because it is so secluded! The Spa is world ranked! The golf course is amazing! The restaurants are awesome! It is so easy to rent a car or take a taxi to the grocery store to stock your suite, feels super safe! Staff is friendly and helpful, they speak English well, I am so happy we had this experience! Do not miss out!

We love Loreto. We did end up renting a car for the week which gave us so much more flexibility. We enjoyed fishing trips, a drive across Baja to the pacific side to see the baby gray whales (I believe the season is late January til about the end of March) and we did go into town almost daily with the goal of finding the best guacamole and margaritas. We did not find a bad one:) The resort does offer an all-inclusive option for those who do not want to cook or travel into town.

My wife, son and daughter-in-law just visited VDP Loreto in Jan. 2014. Compared to the previous review it has greatly improved. We got a free upgrade to a full suite. The service and staff were fantastic. The natural beauty of the bay was gorgeous. If you like serenity and peace on your vacation, this is the place. Many stars come here for that reason. My wife actually spent some spa time with the Dancing with the Stars trainer, Julienne Hough. The spa and fitness areas are super. The kyaking and paddle boarding were fun, and exploring the beaches and caves via the nature trails at low tide was great. There were many exciting experiences, making shrimp ceviche in the beach bar Casa Mia, learning to salsa and speak Spanish, tequila and wine tasting, playing minute-to-win-it, the fiesta night and retro night. We traveled by free shuttle into town several times for shopping and for a snorkeling tour of Coronado island. There is now a wonderful restaurant Danzante, with a world-class chef on site, and the all-inclusive gets you all the margaritas you can drink. There is even a night club next door owned by a rock star. Needless to say, we had a fun week to remember. One caveat, if you are a golfer, the course is not yet finished. Otherwise, GO!
