Lake Forest Resort and Club is located on Voyager Lake, part of the largest freshwater chain of lakes in the world near Nicolet National Forest in Wisconsin's North Woods. With peaceful lake views and wildlife at your door, Lake Forest Resort and Club's condos are perfectly situated in an idyllic setting allowing you to experience everything Eagle River! At 1200 square feet with two bedrooms, two baths and two levels, the condominiums are spacious and sleep up to seven. Each condo has a full size kitchen, wood-burning fireplace, patio with table, chairs and charcoal grill, flatscreen TV with Blu-ray player in the living room and flatscreen TV in the master bedroom.

Lake Forest Resort and Club lies only five miles from Eagle River and is close to the Nicolet National Forest. The area is noted for scenic biking, cross-country skiing, and is one of the premier snowmobiling areas in the country. A variety of restaurants are within easy driving distance, as are unique specialty shops and museums. Within 45 to 60 miles are four casinos and a downhill skiing area.

We went the last week of August. The weather was great. The lake is awesome. If you like the water, like us, you will love it here. The resort is kinda private, not super busy. It's off the main highway, so it's quiet. But, it's only 10 miles to Eagle River, which is a cool little resort town. The rooms are 2 floors, kitchen and bathroom downstairs, with a walk out to the patio and to the lake. Upstairs are 2 bedrooms and bathroom. The master bdrm has a deck looking over the lake and is large and nice. The second bdrm has 2 twin beds, and is pretty plain. The resort provides lots of accessories like grill, 14' row boat, golf clubs, etc. The Health Club is behind the condos, up on a hill by the golf course. The pool is nice, and has a weight room, sauna, hot tub, bar and sitting area.
But, we came for the lake. The resort is on a small lake, attached to many other larger lakes. Because the lake/channel is narrow in front of the resort, it's protected from high winds. The resort has docks for your use. The lakes and channels allow you to travel all the way into Eagle River and tie up there. There are restaurants, bars, and marinas along the lakes and rivers. The water was busy Sat and Sun with lots of boats traveling the channels. Great people watching. During the week, we skied on a nearby lake with no other boats on the lake and warm, smooth water. Perfect.
Cory at the front desk was great and took care of us well.
Bottom line: We would go back.
