Westgate is located in a prime location to enjoy the beautiful Great Smoky Muntains. The resort is minutes from Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge as well as the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and Dollywood theme park. The facilities offer the comforts of a fully furnished home, an indoor/ outdoor water park, pools (including an infinity pool at the top of the resort), a selection of restaurants and bars, spa, work out facility, and game room. Westgate is a must stay when planning your trip to the most visited national park in the US.

My family LOVES Westgate Smoky Mountains! There is so much to do on the resort itself, and it’s centrally located to anything else you want to do in Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, or surrounding areas. The resort is well-maintained and very clean, and the staff are so friendly and helpful. Also, small dogs are allowed, so we can bring our fur babies along. We have had so many great experiences here, and the memories are priceless.

The Westgate Smoky Mountain Resort & Spa is in the perfect location to enjoy mountain views. There are BBP grills, picnic tables, fire pits, a playground and so many more amenities. 3 stars overall. Highly unlikely that my family (2 adults, 2 kids 8 and 12) will return here.

Pros: The room layouts are nice. We had a 3 bedroom which was 3 separate units, all adjoining. Mattresses were very comfortable. The infinity pool is very very nice & there's live music there most nights. Free 9 hole mini golf (very basic). The on-site store is good.

Lots of beautiful views. Truly stunning. Very close access to both Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge.

      Cons:

A bit tricky to get to, if you're familiar with the one way roads going from Pigeon Forge to Gatlinburg. Not a huge con, but worth noting.

Room was not very clean. Issues with bugs. Some dirty dishes. Most of the blinds were broken and or missing slats meaning hard to block out light. Stayed on the first floor, the room above was VERY noisy, just from normal walking around. For how giant this resort is (and it's BIG) the amenities are very subpar. Not nearly enough pools, restaurants, activities, etc. The pools get absolutely packed and nowhere to sit. Arcade is ok but many of the games had issues & the workers don't seem to care enough to fix them after being made aware. Trolleys needed to get around the resort, but be prepared to wait. There's no viable walkable way to get up and down other than talking the roads (no sidewalks, no paths) and parking is minimal. The mini golf was out of clubs/balls a lot of the evening, so you end up waiting.

We were charged access to the on site indoor water park, and the staff was pretty rude about it!! We were told that Redweek guests were NOT given free access. We were also "VIP guests" when we checked in meaning we had to go over to get the timeshare tour offer. Not a hard sell at all. They offer a breakfast presentation which supposedly takes 90 minutes and then you can get some money off tickets, but we heard horror stories about it.

Whether you are looking for a peaceful mountain retreat or an action-packed family adventure, Westgate Smoky Mountain Resort & Water Park delivers an experience that keeps you coming back. After three incredible stays with our friends and family, it has truly become our home away from home. Our most cherished memory was a holiday stay where we gathered the whole family—our three adult children, my parents, and my brother and his wife. One of the best features of being an owner here is the space. Because we each had our own private rooms, everyone had a comfortable place to relax and recharge without feeling crowded. The real magic happened in the spacious family room and kitchen area. We spent our days: Cooking Together: Preparing big family meals in a kitchen designed for gathering.

Game Nights: Laughing over board games in a living space that actually fits the whole crew.

Quality Time: Simply enjoying the luxury of being under one roof.

When we weren't cooking, we were enjoying delicious Southern hospitality at the Southern Comfort restaurant for breakfast and dinner. Plus, the resort’s location is unbeatable—nestled perfectly between the excitement of Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. We even took advantage of discount tickets to explore the best local attractions!

We love this property so much that we’ve referred several friends. In fact, they enjoyed their stay so much that they decided to become owners themselves!

If you’re looking for a great property with endless things to do and room for the people who matter most, look no further than Westgate Smoky Mountain Resort.
