Waterside by Spinnaker Reviews & Ratings

We've stayed here several times as owners and have enjoyed it very much. Our two teenage sons enjoyed riding bikes in town and along the beach. The beach and town is a short walk away from Waterside.

Excellent location in beautiful SC! The beach, shopping and great food are within walking distance. An awesome park for the kids are very close! If you want that southern hospitality and feel like home feeling Waterside is the place to be. I would definitely recommend for everyone to at least try this resort.

Great family resort with multiple pools for toddlers to experienced swimmers. Extremely helpful onsite management providing timely assistance and activities director.

Hilton Head does not really (in my opinion) have a downtown area. But this resort is so walkable to everything you need without seeing it or hearing it from your balcony or anywhere else for that matter on the property! So many cute places to shop and dine.

We had a great week with Spinnaker. They gave us lots of information for places to see and things to do as well as good places to eat. The accommodations were excellent.

We have been coming to Waterside with my family for many years. They keep the resort up to date and remodel the rooms to keep the reputation of the resort and the comfort of the guests to high standards.

It is about 10 minutes walking distance from the beach. We rent bicycles for the whole week which makes it very convenient. We also ride around the island and use the bikes to visit our gelato place.

The resort also has multiple pools, grilling locations, and fun activities to keep you engaged. All-in-all I highly recommend Waterside.

We had a 3 bedroom/3 bath with plenty of space for 3 couples. Front desk is very busy at check in, check out. Loved the pool and grills. 5-10 minute walk to beach/coligny circle, restaurants etc. would definitely stay again.

We’ve been going to waterside for the last five years and we love this place! It’s within walking distance to the beach and coligny plaza with all kinds of shops and great restaurants. A very family oriented vacation area. We love that it’s not in the heart of the main shopping area. It’s kinda secluded but still has everything nearby.

It is 3 blocks to beach and next to cologne beach, lots of bike trails nearby. The rooms are big, decor is too simplistic but doesn't prevent anyone from having s good time. Pool is large. Good resort.

Very nice and close to the beach. There are lots of activities for families and kids. We enjoyed 5 years in a row at Waterside. All you need is a swim suit and toothbrush.

Very close to the beach. Hilton Head Island is the Best vacation spot for family and golf. Went on a dolfin cruise, parasailing, deep-sea fishing and calm resting back at the resort. Highly recommended!

Stayed Easter Week March 21-30 2008

Very nice and clean resort. We had a 1 bedroom end unit that was very large with a very large deck. There was a door off the kitchen and one off the bedroom. The main pool was right across from us. The only problem was that this pool is not heated and was to cold to go in. There is a heated pool in another area but it was alot smaller and more shaded. They also have a childrens pool with waterfalls in a other area.

They had alot of activities for the kids, a Easter egg hunt and a the Easter Bunny was there. Ice Cream social every day, outside pingpong table and other things to do everyday. We had no children with us, but they all looked like they were having fun!

The Waterside is a few blocks from the Ocean but is not a bad walk at all. You can also rent bikes for $20 for the week. You can ride the bike on the beach...the sand is very firm. It is a Great Beach!!!! You can ride your bike for miles on it. Also within walking distance is the Coligny Plaza, with plenty of restaurants and gift shops. If you really wanted to stay local. and liked to walk or ride a bike you could do without a car. We took a cab from Savannah airport,for $75 (one way) they have fixed rates so you don't have to worry about being gouged. It is a beautiful area. My only wish was that Waterside was on the ocean!

We stayed at the Waterside in July 2007. We had a 3 bedroom unit. It was very clean and well maintained. The walk to the beach is a little longer than we thought, a hot walk with little kids. Our disappointment was with the pools. The pool decks were messy and the water was really warm, too warm. Also, there is no pool bar as we told before our stay. Overall, we rated it average.

We stayed at Waterside the last week of April 2007. Our three bedroom was an end unit and very spacious and clean. We had a slight problem with the door leading to the porch and maintenance came in a flash to make the repair. The pool and hot tub are nice. The smaller pool was used mainly by kids. Coligny Plaza and the beach are within walking distance of the resort. We have now purchased a week as well. Great place!

Stayed in March. Had a 3 bedroom unit. Each bedroom comes with it's own bathroom. Very large living space.

Did not use any other ammenities, but as far as size and cleanliness it was great.
