This resort has been beautifully updated. Beach is calm and peaceful where turtles make frequent visits on shore. Location is very convenient, close to markets. restaurants and Napili and Kapalua (white sands) beaches and snorkeling sites

Just stayed at the Sands of Kahana in June 2023. We have stayed at this resort several times at different times of the year. It is absolutely one of the best places to stay on the island of Maui. I cannot imagine that anyone could find fault with this resort! We have stayed in units in all the buildings and find that they are all extremely comfortable. I have looked at many of the resorts in Maui and have found that the Sands of Kahana is superior to most and is a great value! I do believe that the Marriott Ocean Club is a fine resort, but at a cost that is just too high! If money is no object, stay at the Marriott, but even then, their A/C is designed to sense motion and so, it goes off at night when you are sleeping! Many of the resorts that do have A/C actually have inadequate systems.

Even the garden view units here usually have a pretty good view of the ocean! We had a garden view unit this year and actually had a wonderful view of the ocean and were able to really watch the whales breaching just offshore!!!!

The units are all over sized with plenty of room to spread out, even with a large crowd! Even on the warmest days, the units have always been most comfortable and in the evenings even have to get out the blankets.

The resort has great amenities, pool, jacuzzi, and the restaurant has made great improvements during the last year. Breakfast was a treat with a spectular view of the ocean!!

When we stay at the Sands of Kahana we truly feel like we are home. The convenience to all the excitement of the town of Lahaina along with the close proximity to some of the best snorkeling in Maui help make this place my FIRST choice of accomodations in Maui. If you have a chance to stay here, book it right away!!!

Ocean front with a great view. This time of the year whale activity can be seen from the shore. Nice bar and restaurant and a sand beach. Cook in with a full kitchen and gas grills available outside.

It’s a great holiday place that provides the comfort of a home and much more. The fully equipped kitchen gives you the option to make simple and exotic meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Keeps your budget intact and lets you eat healthily. The beach is right there as is the ocean……watch a spectacular sunset everyday. It will take your breath away every time………a restaurant on the premises makes it very convenient to grab a beer or a snack or a meal. The concierge service will get you exploring Maui quickly. Great place to simply relax, recharge and make new friends ……makes you want to come back over and over again.

This is a beautiful beach-front property in Maui. We love staying at Sands of Kahana. The 2 bedroom unit was very spacious, clean and modern with a full kitchen. March is a perfect time to visit for whale watching!

A fabulous waterfront condo/timeshare property that caters to the entire family. Our overly spacious (1,500+ sq. ft.) 3 BR unit gives everyone there all the room they need. Large swimming pool. Separate kids pool. Volleyball, tennis, pickleball, paddle boarding, kayaking, snorkeling. Something for everyone.

Beautiful resort with all the amenities you could ask for sitting on a beautiful beach listening to the ocean waves. So close to grocery stores and lots of restaurants. Free parking & internet service.

My wife and I stayed in a 3 bedroom unit in early December 2022 . We had fantastic views and lots of space. Enjoyed the pool,beach, and the hot tub. The trade winds kept us cool all day and night. I am not a big fan of AC so not having it didn't bother me at all. The Parking and Elevator access is wonderful and close. Lots of grocery stores and restaurants are nearby and there is even a Food Truck food court that has parking and picnic tables nearby. The front desk is helpful and there is a hospitality suite so you can use the resort during your trave day even though you will need to check out in the AM. I will say that the poolside cafe was not that great. Too much fried food and not enough variety. There are so many better restaurants close by that unless you just want a burger and fries you should skip the poolside cafe.

We loved the beachfront location and awesome ocean view from our room! this is a great 3 bedroom unit with ample room for the family. We were just 10 minutes north of Lahaina (our favorite Maui town), and 10 minutes south of lovely Kapalua area in with the coastal trail. Sands of Kahana is ideally situated on Maui’s world famous west coast between Kaanapali and Kapalua. It is a spacious three-bedroom condominium with an array of amenities, including a fully-equipped kitchen, washer-dryer, a private lanais that looks out onto spectacular ocean views. Sands of Kahana offers an array of fun activities and convenient amenities, including tennis courts, putting green, barbecues, separate adult/family and children’s pools, and an onsite restaurant and cocktail bar setting it apart as Maui’s premier beachfront resort. Welcome to paradise!

Great location and beautiful resort! All 3 bedrooms are end units and offer terrific ocean views. Resort is oceanfront. Convenient parking and within walking distance to shops and restaurants.

The Sands of Kahana is located on a quiet(er) beach in West Maui between Lahaina and Kapalua, providing entertainment opportunities in both directions. What is most impressive about the Sands of Kahana, especially the 3BR units, is the size of the units. The 3BR (which we own) is designed like a condo/apartment vs. a hotel. Every unit comes with a full kitchen, which helps keep food expenses down; there are also several outdoor grills to prepare food.

We have tried to visit every other year and from the time our kids hit their pre-teen years they preferred the Sands of Kahana over the Marriott (where we also own) and other resorts closer to Lahaina and Kaanapali Beach. They appreciate the privacy and size of the condo and we always find plenty to do with the Kahana area as our home base; there are plenty of activities in either direction (including great whale watching right from the resort during the winter months). We have seen noticeable improvements every time we have visited, whether it be new furniture, new paint, additional activities, or the completely refurbished (and beautiful) tennis court area.

We love to stay at the Sands where it is a bit less frenzied but still close enough to hang out in Lahaina, which we frequently do. We especially appreciate the full kitchen and in-room laundry. Having a washer/dryer in the room allows us to pack much more lightly. We also frequent the beach hut to rent equipment and have utilized the activity planning desk every time we have come. Good prices and lots of great suggestions.

We believe it is the best value on the island, not to mention being one of the few places on Maui that offers 3BR units that very comfortably sleep 8 - 10 people. We are looking forward to our next visit!

We have loved vacationing with friends and family at SOK for 20 years. It is located beachfront facing Molokai and Lanai. Kahana is a quiet, family oriented town, short walking distance to cute shops and restaurants.

You can't beat being right on the ocean!! This is a wonderful resort with so much to offer. It also helps to have a washer and dryer in unit. The views are breathtaking. Love spending vacations here!

Wonderful property for a memorable family vacation. Huge, well appointed 2000 sq.ft. condo with a large, updated kitchen and only steps from the Pacific beach or the pool. Beautiful sunset views from the condo and gorgeous views of Lanai’i and Molokai’i. Best value on West Maui.

This one of the most spacious & comfortable family-oriented beach resorts on Maui. Great location between Kaanapali & Kapalua beaches & resorts. Extraordinarily spacious condos, considered to be the largest on the island. Popular restaurant by the beachfront heated pool & jacuzzi. Full amenities with amazing kitchen, dining & closet spaces in each unit.

We love coming to this resort. The units are furnished nicely with all of the kitchen supplies that we need. And we love the pools, bar, and the beach!

We have really enjoyed Sands of Kahana as a great resort, it is a great location, right on the beach and very quiet so we have enjoyed our stays at Sands Of Kahana and the staff have always been very accommodating, the grounds are always very clean and gardens are manicured we have nothing negative to say about Sands of Kahana Its a great Resort !!!

My family and I have been vacationing here since 1999 and it is our family vacation spot, home away from home. The unit is very spacious and larger than most condos in Maui and the best part about it is it's right on the beach! The boys have learned to surf here for the first time and they the lei making activities and swimming & snacking at the pools.
