Aruba has so much to offer, but a lot of the resorts are crowded and have small beaches with people on top of each other. This resort is beautifully situated on the edge of Palm Beach with plenty of space and distance around it's perimeter, giving you spectacular views in either direction (Palm Beach or Eagle Beach) from the original Tower building. The rooms in the Tower building are very spacious and have spectacular views. The Beach Tower units are the newer units and have more modern decor, but they are built behind the original Tower building and the views are blocked if you're not higher than the 3rd or 4th floor. The amenities are the same no matter where you stay in the resort, and in the original Tower building you are closer to the lobby, spa, fitness center and concierge. In my opinion, the very best view is from the Tower building, 8th floor or higher towards Palm Beach. You see all the hotels on the strip and the twinkling lights at night. The food at this resort is fantastic, but in Aruba I wouldn't recommend an all-inclusive because there are so many great restaurants within walking distance or a quick shuttle away. And if you're concerned about cocktails, you can purchase beer, wine and liquor in the food stores which you can enjoy in your room or on the beach. We've vacationed here for many years and I've always felt safe and comfortable with taking a shuttle or taxi, but now we rent a car to explore the many free beaches to snorkel on our own and have the flexibility to come and go as we please. We absolutely love Aruba, and the Divi Aruba Phoenix is truly paradise!
