Wow! This was our introduction to timeshare. I was visiting family in Newport Beach and Laguna Niguel while staying at the Newport Beach Marriott Tennis Club. The nice gal up at the front office gave us an invitation to see the Marriott Vacation Club that was being built. We didn't have time so we went back several months later when they had just begun construction. We liked the idea of having a place to stay near all our family that made us feel like we had our own home when visiting them. They can come see us and we can do things together without staying at a hotel with the lack of space for our family of six. It hadn't been a full year and we decided we had to have a second week. That way if my parents or inlaws come along we have room for everyone. Or, if we decide to stay two weeks we can enjoy our vacation without having to risk not being able to rent the extra days. Whenever we don't use both weeks, we trade, rent or deposit the extra week. But, we sure enjoy at least one week a year at this superb resort. As we mentioned, convenience of location plus Legoland and Disney and Universal for the kids. We love all the beaches from LaJolla to Malibu all within easy drive from Newport Coast Villas. Golf is not a big deal for us since we live on a course but there are many wonderful venues nearby. Anyhow, sun, surf and sand and perfect weather year round tops it all. Hope to see you there. Walter and the gang. Yep I'm the one with all the noisy kids and cousins running around the pool. p.s. We ended up doing the same thing at the Marriott Mountainside in Park City. We are glad we did both. Hope to see you there too.

Owner review- Christmas '04 Resort still as beautiful as always, with ideal access to many parts of SoCal. Stayed in 2400 building (one of first built). Noted wear issues which should be addressed in 2005 refurbishment planned. Had an issue with noisy upstairs neighbor which staff handled well, after some prompting. Tennis courts incomplete. Marketplace closed for rennovation. Ongoing construction of new units below and to left of main pool area. Did not notice any noise from construction, but it rained most of the week. Last few days in 3500 building (top floor) were much more pleasant.

Overall, still pleased with our purchase and love the location. Recommend top floor units for those wishing peace and quiet during their stay. Did slightly downgrade for noticeable wear and less than customary staff performance. I'm sure things will be better in 2005.

WOW!!!! It really is a great place, loved the pool, loved the RR, and all the other amenities. The only drawbacks are that the BBQ are little far from the room so it’s a bit of an inconvenience. And during the weekdays there is a bit of noise from the expansion but other that that’s it really is an excellent place, and the pros are way more than the cons. I couldn’t see my self-giving it an less than 5 stars. Cant wait to go back

Stayed in 2002, staying again Jun 2004. Beautiful styling throughout resort. The pools are amazing with bar and grill pool side. The rooms are plush, with balcony, and tuscan styling. The hills can offer a little workout getting around the property.

Across PCH is an amazing set of beaches. The tidal pools provide hours of fun for kids of all ages. Beaches are laiden with shells, but they are protected so look and don't take. Rent a bike and ride the grass lined trails throughout Crystal Cove Beach Park. The kids will also love Laguna Beach (4 mi) and especially Corona Del Mar Beach (1 mi). This is the secret gem beach. It used to be the secret beach of the stars. Ask about surf lessons at Seal Beach.

Excelent park playground and courts (1mi). More Shops about 1 mile inland on Newport Coast Drive. Albertsens 2mi n. PCH.

Don't forget the Captain Daves Dolphine Safari out of DanaPoint this is 6 star event.

Finally, the Balboa Island Shops and NewPort Boardwalk Funzone.

The Pools here are wonderful, the view from the pool is breathtaking over the whole city of Newport Beach and the ocean. The Starbucks just inside from the pool was very convenient as well as having a store for quick pick up of food items to either make dinner or buy a quick sandwich or salad.

We have owned this property for 20 years. We have never been disappointed! The resort has always been clean, friendly and well appointed. There is lots to do if you are traveling with children. ex. movies, pool, games, activities, arts and crafts etc. There is also a shuttle to Cyrstal Cove if you want a beach day where there are tide pools. You can also eat at the excellent Beachcomber restaurant which is right on the beach. Making S'mores at the firepit is a fun nighttime activity.

Outstanding and unforgettable luxurious getaway - Marriott Newport Coast Villas

My wife and I recently had the pleasure of staying at Marriott Newport Coast Villas, and I can confidently say it was an unforgettable experience! The moment we arrived, we were greeted by the warm and welcoming staff who made the check-in process seamless. The stunning views of the Pacific Ocean from the lobby set the tone for a luxurious getaway.

Our villa was spacious, beautifully appointed, and equipped with all the amenities we could possibly need, including a full kitchen, a cozy living area, and a private balcony perfect for watching the sunset. The cleanliness and attention to detail were truly impressive, making us feel right at home.

One of the highlights of our stay was the incredible pool area. With multiple pools, hot tubs, and comfortable loungers, it was the perfect place to unwind and soak up the California sun. The on-site activities, including hiking trails and beach access, offered a great variety of options to explore and stay active.

We also appreciated the location of the villas—just a short drive from charming local shops, exquisite dining, and beautiful beaches in Laguna and Newport. Whether we wanted to relax by the ocean or venture out to explore, everything was conveniently nearby.

Overall, Marriott Newport Coast Villas exceeded our expectations with their exceptional service, beautiful accommodations, and stunning surroundings. We can’t wait to return for another amazing stay! Highly recommend to anyone looking for a perfect getaway.
