Marriott's Kauai Lagoons - Kalanipu'u Reviews & Ratings

A superb resort with excellent service and all amenities. The rooms especially impress as spacious and nicely appointed - each one with a view. Convenient to major shopping centers, the resort also has a golf club and Oceanside course. Recycle and green practices make this an approved stay for smart travelers. Unique in the world.

Waking up to the view from this resort is breathtaking! The location is perfect - Hanalei (Princeville) is a 45 minute drive and to Waimea is about the same. The adjacent Marriott resort has all of the amenities ( spa, restaurants, etc) but staying at Kauai Lagoons is more like staying in your own home - quiet with none of the crowd or bustle of a typical resort. Bedrooms are on either side of the living room, each with a private bath - the open living/dining/kitchen takes full advantage of the incredible view. This is the place to breathe deeply, and relax.

Enjoyed our week at Kauai Lagoons - love sitting on the big veranda watching the waves and the kitchen and dining room are full-size so we can have extended family over to dinner. Grills outside make dinner easy. Small store onsite has basics. Kids enjoy the little slide at the pool and the rec room with fun activities and parents enjoy the gym with oceanfront views.

We drove down to the beach access and parked behind the Sonesta/Marriott Kauai Beach Club but have walked before - it's about a quarter of a mile away. One of the best swimming beaches on Kauai. Walked to the fancy restaurant at Timbers, which is the resort across the way. We like being in Lihue because you are 10 minutes from the airport, but have easy access to North Shore and Poipu.

Need a taxi or ride service, or rent a car to access Kauai Lagoons, not sure if there is a shuttle.

Love the peacefulness, and because it is relatively small the service is very personalized. The rooms are spacious and the lanais are large. Lihue is a central location to explore the island, and it is very close to the airport, making transportation to/from the resort easy.

Our first trip to Kauai Lagoons was for our honeymoon and we return whenever possible! The property is immaculate and extremely romantic! incredible views in every direction - the lighthouse, ocean, golf course, and incredible vegetation. The villas are gorgeous with beautiful lanai to enjoy the views. This will always be one of our special places!

This property screams RELAX which is easy to do in the nicely appointed OCEAN FRONT accommodations. Take a helicopter and/or boat ride of the Napili Coast. We've done both and they are well worth it. Visit Poipu, Princeville, Hanalei. Hike, swim, golf or browse the farmers markets. Enjoy a wonderful dinner at Cafe Portofino just down the street or cook up something in you kitchen. Don't forget binoculars for whale sightings. This is paradise!

This is an incredible tropical paradise! If you like the outdoors, hiking to different parts of the island creates an adventure in nature unsurpassed. The waterfalls are abundant with spectacular views both from the ground but also by helicopter if you prefer...incredible building of lifetime memories either way!!

We have stayed in this three bedroom unit for several years and absolutely love it! The Lagoons are a smaller upscale Marriott that has all the amenities but in a very relaxed setting. The ocean view from the grounds is fantastic! The pool is private with a small waterslide...very relaxing. For a huge pool experience you can utilize the Marriott Hotel within walking distance. The best of both worlds. We will miss being there this year, but hope someone else will enjoy their stay as much as we always have.
