The Westin Nanea Ocean Villas Reviews & Ratings

My wife and I have been coming to Ka'anapali Beach for fifteen years, and own several timeshares next door at Westin Ka'anapali ORV. We splurged and bought here as well, falling in love with the design of the building, public areas, pools, and of course, access to the beach. Unfortunately, we haven't been able to stay here yet, but will do so in April. So, the review above is based on our visits during and after construction.

We stayed in a 2-Bedroom Villa (Resort View) at The Westin Nanea Ocean Villas, Ka’anapali, and overall it was a great experience.

The unit itself is very spacious and well laid out. The full kitchen is a huge plus — modern appliances, plenty of counter space, and everything you need to cook real meals (not just microwave food). The living room and lanai make it easy to relax without feeling cramped. Two full bathrooms are a game changer if you’re traveling with family.

The resort grounds are beautiful and well maintained. The pool area is large, clean, and family-friendly. Beach access is easy, and sunsets are unreal. Staff were professional and responsive.

A few honest notes:

“Resort View” means you’re looking inward toward the property, not the ocean. Don’t expect water views.

Pool chairs can fill up early during peak season.

Food and drinks on-site are expensive (standard Maui pricing).

Location is excellent — right in Ka’anapali with easy access to Whalers Village, restaurants, and grocery stores.

Overall, this is a comfortable, upscale property that feels more residential than hotel-like. If you want space, a kitchen, and a relaxed Maui vibe, this is a solid choice.

Would absolutely stay again.

Perfect way to end your holiday in this beautiful one bedroom Villa! We wish we could be there, but have to pass this year. Hope you have some amazing memories and enjoy your stay.

The resort itself is beautiful. All services are first rate, esp. the concierge service. Pool and beach are excellent. The resort offers some Hawaiian education (history and language). Restaurants are very good.

Wow!! We travel a lot and this is one of our favorite locations!! The Villa has everything you need and is spacious, clean and comfortable. You have a tough choice each day of ocean, pool or both. Nanea has a great beach with lots of sand!! Great for whale watching this time of year. We would certainly be there if it wasn't for the Safari we will be doing instead!! rent my week and enjoy paradise!!

We had a beautiful 4th of July stay at The Westin Nanea Ocean Villas last year. The resort offers a refined, peaceful atmosphere with live evening music, impeccably maintained grounds, and stunning nightly sunsets over the ocean.

The villas are spacious and thoughtfully designed, creating a true sense of luxury and ease. Evenings were especially memorable — relaxing by the pools or lawn with music in the background as the sun set made the holiday feel truly special.

Have owned here for years. We are here this week...whale watching might still be good. We wish we could use this week, too, but family plans changed.

The Westin Nanea Ocean Villas is one of the best places we’ve ever stayed in Maui. The resort is beautifully designed, immaculately maintained, and perfectly located right on the ocean. The villas are spacious, modern, and exceptionally comfortable, with full kitchens, washer/dryers, and thoughtful Westin touches throughout. The pool complex is fantastic for both adults and kids, the grounds are lush and quiet, and the sunsets are spectacular. It has the feel of a high-end resort with the comfort and space of a luxury home—an ideal base for a Maui vacation.

Wonderful and luxurious Westin Nanea! Sleeps 6 comfortably with 2 king-bed suites, steps from the ocean. Beautiful Ka'anapali Maui! Fully appointed kitchen, all amenities provided! We love our stays here! The pool and beach are always inviting, the staff is knowledgeable and keep the spirit of aloha!

Recently stayed here and WOW! I consider this the Westin Flagship. Care was taken in this 2017 build to incorporate Hawaii native motif. Large art pieces line the exterior buildings along the shoreline. Look at the foyer. The whole experience is very Aloha. Come to Maui!

Love this resort and especially our spacious and beautiful 3BR Oceanfront unit. Oceanfront views from each bedroom and the living area. Particularly wonderful views from the balcony that stretches across the length of the living area and master bedroom. Beautiful sunset views and we even spot whales from the balcony.

The Westin Nanea Ocean Villas is a beachfront villa style resort on North Ka'anapali Beach in Lahaina, Maui. Ideal for families looking to have an option to stay on property to eat, drink, relax at the lagoon-style pool with a kids splash zone. This property has all the ammenities you need to show up and indulge without having to bring the whole house. Some examples are: pool towels, water fill stations, snorkel rentals, cabana rentals, Westin workout and spa to name a few.

The villas are furnished with the exact needs required to cook meals onsite should you choose. We love the option of a complimentary shuttle to get to the grocery store, shops and restaurants in Lahaina.

This is the perfect spot to enjoy your home away from home witnessing the beauty of Hawaii!

Great pools, views are amazing and the food at the resort restaurants is always good. 1 minute walk to beach and snorkeling. Excellent place for a family vacation! Walking distance to neighboring resorts and restaurants, short shuttle trip to Whaler's Village Shopping and restaurants.

The Westin Nanea Ocean Villas has been a perfect resort for my family and I for a perfect Island getaway. We love all the amenities at the resort (pool, spa, restaurants, gym, outdoor grills, etc), we've met many great people there and love the proximity to snorkeling, golf, surfing and shops. There is no other place I'd rather say on Maui.

We have stayed in many resorts during the last 20 years and found Nanea to be an outstanding resort. From restaurants and pools to premium villas and services are 5 stars, in our opinion. The swimming pools and saunas are designed with family in mind and if you like some privacy there is an area for adults only.

Absolutely beautiful resort with a fabulous ocean view from most rooms. Restaurant food is amazing along with vendor tents to purchase healthy snacks and drinks. This is our most relaxing, serene place to get away and relax.

This is my favorite resort to vacation, and relax the days away. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, the resort is beautiful, the views fantastic, and the ocean views are glorious.
