This is a top notch full service resort with 3 championship golf courses, top notch golf instruction, water activities, lake, pools, restaurants; a fully contained resort. You could have a relaxing vacation here without ever visiting a Disney park. The grounds and units are top rate and vigorously maintained. I've owned for 6 years and look forward to going back each time.

We stayed here in October, 2005. We thought the resort was very secure and private. Our condo was very clean and provided us with the essentials that we needed during our stay. The shuttle did not go to the very end and when staying in the farthest back buildings, one has to walk to the shuttle stop (ugh). It wasn't too hot during our stay, but when it's very hot, humid or raining, it's not much fun to walk two and a half blocks. The other amenities were great. The clubhouse does need to purchase some newer games for the kiddos. The pool areas were very clean. All in all, one of the best resorts I have stayed at and will probably return.

A great resort with something for everyone. I would love to own one of these. The 2 bedroom townhomes are spacious, with access to a golf course out the back. Wonderful pool areas and organized activities for children. Even miniture golf. We enjoyed it!

We stayed at Orange Lake in July 2005 it was our second exchange after 10 years ( we own ) elsewhere and the first for some relatives that came with us.

The resort has obviously grown in that time and we did notice the differences.

We requested in advance two 2 bed units side by side and they did exactly that. Both units where in the west village and within walking distance of the Splash Lagoon area Check- in was a breeze. Our units was clean and nicely furnished. Had a few small maintenance problems like the fly screen dropped down ( but as we walked around the complex we saw plenty others that seem to have the same problem.

And the stove had perhaps seen better days as some of the rings did not work.

Our children enjoyed the pool areas and their was lots of different pool sizes that catered to the vary young ones and the even the adults in our party.

We played tennis and the courts were almost always empty. And also got two rounds of golf in at Cranes Bend which was fun.

The only downside we found was that for Splash Lagoon unless you got down there say before 10am as always overcrowded and it was nearly impossible to find some seats within sight of the pool so that you can keep your eye on your kids).

The same could be said of the some of the other pools, but as the heat was immense at Midday getting down there by 10am suited us.

We suspect that the overcrowding will no doubt be relieved somewhat when the new water park complex opens later in 2006.

My only real compliant was the constant telephone calls from the sales folks, they called 7 times with 4 of them being before 8am in the morning.

We decided to take them up on their offer as we are considering purchasing. And although they said that the presentation would only take an hour and that they would talk to us whilst we ate our free breakfast. The whole thing lasted 3 hours!!.

Luckly we had a sense of humour and actually had decided in advance that the day would be a hang around the complex. So as a result we where not too annoyed and at the point where we had had enough we simply said No thanks and took our coupons and went.

Its a very big resort and if you just wanted to stay at the resport then there is lots to do. All in all in spite of the few complaints, our family enjoyed our visit and will come back in the future and in fact we are going to purchase a unit at this resport via Redweek.

I own a 3 bedroom unit in June. My family and I have been coming to the resort for approximately 8 years now. My kids love it ages range from 25 to 16, shouldn't leave out the grand kids. The resort is well maintained grounds are beautiful and the amenities are excellent. We love it so much we are looking to purchase another week. With the addition of the new section and water park should make the resort even more injoyable.

It seems that people either love or hate this resort. We stayed here in January of 2003 and have avoided this a choice for trade ever since. We stayed in unit # 2624, which is over 20 years old and looks it. The tiles were greenish/blue and the grout was very stained. The whirlpool bathtub was a standard-sized tub with dirty jets, which was gross because black flakes came out of them. There were bugs in the unit, the kitchen was outdated and had appliance issues, including a sign informing us that the oven was not working.

This was one of the worst trades we have ever made with RCI. I would never recommend it to anyone. The sales staff called us several times, and woke us up twice, to invite us to a welcome breakfast and that we would get a gift. We did not want to spend any time with a salesman while he told us how great the resort is, how it is the only place to own, and that they maintain the units. How could a person sit through that tour and not say anything.

I know that most of Orange Lake is nice and the difference between the happy people and unhappy people is the unit they are in. Ours was just plain old and dirty. Hopefully they maintain the new bathtubs better than this old one because if they do not run a bacteria-killing agent through the jets every week, you might as well be taking a bath with every person who has stayed there in the past. Disgusting.

We stayed at Orange Lake in April after buying a 2br unit in the Tennis Villas on redweek. Check- in was a breeze. Our unit was clean and nicely furnished. Our children enjoyed the tennis courts which were almost always empty and just outside our door. The only downside we found was that the two pools by the West Village complex and Splash Lagoon were always overcrowded. If you did not get a seat by 10am it was nearly impossible to find one within sight of the pool ( a concern when you are trying to keep an eye on your kids). The constant loud music at the pools especially if you had the misfortune to be stuck by one of the speakers was unnecessary and annoying. We did find a small pool in another part of the resort that was relativley uncrowded and more pleasant. The overcrowding situation may be relieved somewhat when the new water park complex opens later this year.

We did attend a sales presentation and free lunch. Our sales person was very friendly and low pressure. When we informed him that we had just purchased a unit and told him the price we had paid, he backed off totally and just got us our free coupons and cash for attending.

This is a very big resort and as someone else mentioned, I think it may be getting too big. All in all in spite of the few complaints, our family enjoyed our visit and will come back in the future.

I took my family to Orange Lake last month. I own a studio unit and Oragne Lake was great. The resort was in great shape and the unit we stayed in was up to date and well maintained. We received one call to attend the information breakfast and we refused and they did not push us to go. We love Orange Lake and we will go back again and again. There is always something to do. There was some construction on the golf course and the new units but it did not disturb our vacation.

    MY FAMILY LOVES THIS RESORT!!!

We've owned for 4 years and have been coming for 6 years, with 2 children, 9 and 10, I can't say enough about the place.

Friendly, helpful staff; Amenities fabulous and constantly improving and growing. Conveniently located to Publix and Walgreens not to mention DisneyWorld in your backyard.

We've had 3 family purchase and 1 pending sale just on our word of mouth and they all love it.

I just got back from Orange Lake on 5/8/05. The resort is beautiful and the 2 bedroom unit is spacious and well maintained. There is so much to do at the resort, you may not want to go to the theme parks. Played 3 of the on-site golf courses and they were in good shape and challenging. I've stayed at most of the Disney area resorts and I'd rate this one the best!

We visited this resort and were so disappointed. Timeshare sales people were everywhere, transport was needed to get to the pools which were extremely cold and all in all it was not a pleasant place to stay. Our apartment was not clean and the small bathroom through the sliding door off of the bedroom was not satisfactory. Also we were in danger from the golf balls and one actually hit me on our terrace. Grass on the golf course was cut at 5.30.a.m. so a lay in was not an option.

We exchanged a week here and thankfully got a 2br unit in the newest section. Our unit was in excellent condition, clean, spacious and beatifully decorated. Problem is the main recreation center is a drive away. It's a large resort and sometimes it's better to be able to walk to most things. There's plenty to do on- site. Several pools and restaurants to choose from. The west village seemed to be closest to most of the amenities but were the 1st built. Maybe they're in great condition, too. I'd definately return and think Orange Lake is one of the best timeshares in the Orlando area. My husband still likes the Sheraton Vistana better.

We just got back from Orange Lake and it was wonderful. The staff was very friendly and the unit was spacious and very clean. The timeshare sales people did call but, we just politely declined their offers and that was that. The amenities were great, the pool and mini golf. They are re-sodding part of the golf course and grounds, but we went down to do Disney. It was very close to the parks and easy to get to and much better than staying in a hotel room! I will definitely go to this resort again.

We stayed at this resort last April vacation because we had heard how much there was to do for older children.

I would probably rate it as one of the most stressful weeks I have ever had. There is a curfew of 10 oclock . The teens were not allowed to hang at the pool security so over the top that it made for a real bad experience. I am a pretty strick parent and they were beyond strick and the reasons were because the resort was large. For anyone who gets a back unit make sure you have a car. I try two different resorts out every year and this one by far takes the cake for the worst I have stayed at... Please if you have teenagers think again.. Try to stay at Sheraton Vistana this one so far has been the best for 13-20 year olds...

Recently stayed in a 3 bedroom unit we rented off of Redweek.com. The rental process through redweek.com was very easy with no problems at all. The unit was very large we actually fit 13 people and were not on top of each other. Orange Lake is in a great location with plenty to do both inside and outside the resort. Would definitely rent there again.

We own a week at this resort and it is top notch. A huge resort (need a car to get around within the property). Professional staff, beautiful & spacious units. Close to Orlando attractions, shopping, restaurants. If you're a golfer, this place is Heaven. Resort even has nice putt-putt courses. Beautiful pools, nice planned activities. If you chose to do so, the resort has enough features to spend a week on the property and be thoroughly entertained. WARNING! WE PAID TOO MUCH FOR OUR WEEK WHEN WE BOUGHT FROM REPS AT THE RESORT. IF YOU'RE LOOKING TO BUY, CHECK OUT THE RESALE MKT.

We recently stayed in a 3 bedroom villa, clean ,well decorated and spacious, overlooking the golf course.... . We had a wonderful time...There is something for everyone to do including the children, relaxing pools, water sports, dinner shows, golf, tennis, basketball, Arcade game rooms, shuttle service, restaurants, stores...You can actually have a good time without leaving to go to the theme parks and wait in those long lines!!!!!!!..

We would definitely go back...and are seriously considering ownership..if the price is right.....

Thanks OLCC for a great vacation.
