Paradise -- this is a fabulous resort. We have been coming to this resort for over 20 years. The staff is welcoming. The location is the very best on Maui. The views are outstanding. This is the spot for a memorable vacation!

My whole family fell in love with this resort. The pool is just gorgeous and situated where you can see the beach and Ocean too. We love all of the complimentary activities that other resorts charge for. This is a 1 of a kind resort and is top notch. No disappointments here at all. We are definitely headed there again soon!

Came back for a second time. Everything was perfect.

The staff was great, when I mentioned the bed was not very good and should be replaced, within 30 minutes it was replaced!

My only complaint is with the WiFi which constantly was being dropped in front of Napili Tower.

Been staying here for most years since 2000. We like the old building much better. It is wide open. The newer towers don't have a Hawaii feel. When checking in and walking back and forth to your room you could be in Cleveland. It is all closed in. The only minus is the bathroom. It is a shower/tub setup the Westin north of black rock have a nicer bathroom. But you are north of Blackrock which blows. Great hotel, people and location.

We come 2-3 times a year. Would recommend this place as it will check most of your vacation boxes. Pool spa repairs are slow ... I would like to see better planning or parts kept on hand. More Yoga, 7 times a week! Mornings...... Best place for us, with the family, with the little ones, or just for two older married people! Cant beat this location! Food, pools, spas, views...,

The minute we arrived we felt the good vibe. The bell staff is very helpful and immediately makes you feel welcome. A special shout out to Lee who was a great help for information. Felt like paradise when we entered the room and saw the ocean view from the balcony. The much needed R and R immediately took effect. The amenities are great. I discovered the kitchen too late. Laundry facility is a good size with LG steamer. The center pool is great which we enjoyed a lot. As with other reviews, it is a short hop to the beach where i enjoyed as well, resort is clean, the gardens are lush and well incorporated unlike other resorts that feels too structured. The Koi ponds are nicely positioned. The location is perfect. A short drive to all the key locations in West Maui. I would highly commend the staff that are all excellent. Loretto, one of the chefs is very gracious. I am one person that likes to travel different places all the time but I don't mind coming back again and again in MMOC. You can head over to Whalers village for.shopping and dining. Activities are plenty whether it be at the resort, beach or around the area. The hospitality suite a great plus. Marriott never disappoints.

Incredible beach resort walking distance to Whalers Village on the beach (lunch, dinner, ice cream & shopping) 5 minute drive to Lahaina with many great restaurants & shopping. You can relax at the pool or beach or there's lots to do. Walk out of the pool and onto the beach 100' away. Best weather in the world. It's safe and everyone speaks English. Great for family vacations!

The beauty of this resort is that Marriott continues to add amenities to make your vacation even better. They've added a community kitchen with stove tops for cooking and several additional grill areas to sit outside and watch the sunset while you grill. And every area is kept very clean. We love visiting this resort year after year.

Small enough to give that intimate feeling that some of the larger resorts lack. A great family and honeymoon resort with all the amenities you want. Restaurants and shopping all within walking distance. Good snorkeling 50 - 100 yards directly off shore. Unbelievable sunsets. Bring your camera, but you'll only have 2-3 minutes each night to catch that sunset moment. Once at the horizon, the suns sets fast. lol Our best times ever have been at this Marriott.

juliee79 review is very good. We love this place. We own four weeks a year, and never get sick of visiting. It's the perfect hotel in the perfect location. Simple as that.

Just returned from Marrott's Maui Ocean Club, where my family of 4 had an awesome time! I really enjoyed working with owner Peter Konopak. He was quick to respond and very patient in answering all of my questions. We had a Oceanview 1 bedroom 2 bath unit with balcony, partial kitchen, eating area, & pullout couch. Perfect for our family of 4. This place was in an awesome location right on Kaanapali Beach, great boogie boarding, beautiful pools, Longboard restaurant, close to Whalers Village for shopping and dinners out. We golfed, zipplined, snorkeled, surfed & did a helicopter tour. This unit is also very close to the town of Lahaina . I highly recommend working with Peter. Thanks Peter we hope to visit Maui again in the future! Susie Jag

Juliee79...enjoyed reading your review of Marriott Maui Ocean Club!! Its been a few years since snorkeling off the Maui Ocean Club beach but found the best snorkeling straight out from the surf shop, where a sea turtle cleaning station is located. I always waited till I saw the white marker flag of the divers out there before venturing out. You will be guaranteed to see many sea turtles. "Duke" is an enormous sea turtle who I had the surprise of my life encountering! A very large school of dolphins just happened to pass by as well.

Once again a terrific vacation at MMOC! We love the spaciousness of the 2 bedroom, 3 bath units of the 2 center buildings. The oceanfront units are especially close to the beach, and have a lot more lanai area than the newer units.

Another reason we prefer the older buildings is the open air entrances and atrium feel of the outside walkways to the units. The units built last on either side all have enclosed, dark hallways to their front doors, small lanais, fewer bathrooms, less square feet, and are further away from the main pools! The original buildings in the center have all been well maintained, and are currently being updated to the latest Marriott decor, we have never been disappointed with any of our units during our stays!

Lahaina is just a few minutes away, and offers lots of restaurants shopping. MMOC makes a great vacation, you can't go wrong!

We fell in love with this resort when we stayed here because of it's great location and access to Whalers Village and Lahaina. It is absolutely beautiful - the pool is fantastic for the kids and the beach has wonderful snorkelling. My oldest daughter even was able to take surfing lessons here. There is a beautiful golf course on the island side of the resort, so even if your view is not ocean, it is probably golf course - which is also beautiful to look at!

My husband and I have owned a timeshare at the Maui Ocean Club for 6 years and have gone each year. We ALWAYS have received excellent friendly service and have had extremely clean rooms. They actually clean the carpet after each checkout and when you request extra pillows, towels, etc., Housekeeping calls within 30 minutes to see if you have received the requested items. The grounds are immaculate with leaves being picked up each morning. The famed Marriott bedding is very luxurious. As you can tell, we love the place and look forward to going back each year.

We just returned from our 4th visit to Maui, and the first time we stayed at The Marriott Maui Ocean Club. The grounds are immaculate and the location can not be beat.

When we booked in May of 2010, we asked for a high floor. When we checked in we were given a room on the 2nd floor and were told that the high floors are reserved for the owners (as opposed to us, renting from an owner), and those that book at least a year out, not the short 8 months that we did.

We were really looking forward to eating at Longboards, one of our favorite dinner spots on Kaanapali Beach, however, this year we found the service to be sub-par. The first night the waiter left us waiting for our food for almost an hour. Albeit, Longboards isn't a bad place to have to wait, the waiter was so busy entertaining the other tables that he litterally forgot about us. Second night, different server: This guy had a negative comment for everything we said, whether it was where we are from, where we traveled to or the other places we ate on the island. He had nothing positive to say, it was odd.

Marriott Maui Ocean Club is a great place to stay, but they do need to improve service levels.
