Owning at Marriott's Waiohai Beach Club has been one of the best decisions we’ve made for our family; it’s truly become our "home away from home" on Kauai. Every year, we return to the sound of the waves at Poipu Beach, where our days are spent snorkeling with sea turtles and watching the kids play in the sand. Having a spacious two-bedroom villa with a full kitchen makes everything so easy—we can enjoy breakfast on the lanai and grill dinner together by the pool, allowing us to slow down and focus on what really matters. The memories we’ve built here are irreplaceable, from the friendly "Aloha" we receive at check-in to the quiet evenings watching the Koloa sunsets. Whether it's our kids learning to make leis or our family tradition of spotting monk seals on the shore, the resort provides the perfect backdrop for genuine connection. It’s more than just a vacation spot for us; it’s a sanctuary where we’ve watched our children grow up, and we look forward to passing these island traditions down for generations to come.

Waiohai Beach Club is our favorite property in Hawaii. The famous Waiohi Reef surf spot is just out front — you can watch your family surfing while enjoying a drink at the bar or supervising your younger children in the pool. The 5-star Red Salt restaurant is just a few steps away, along with many other wonderful dining options nearby. Our family has made so many beautiful memories here. We’re sorry not to be returning this year, but we already look forward to our next trip back.

Waiohai part of our life since living on Kauai in 1981when on opening team as hotel, before 1992 hurricane closing. A special place that keeps us coming back, even from East Coast!

Can't beat this amazing location, next to a state park with gigantic turtles, amazing coffee shops and restaurants all within walking distance.

We absolutely love this resort. You can lay by the pool, on the beach, or under one of the beautiful shade trees. Kitchen has everything you need. Two sofa beds are great for families. Staff are responsive and extremely welcoming and helpful.

A five minute walk to the adjoining beach to see tortoises come in every evening or view the resident sea lion.

Family friendly and date night restaurants nearby.

My only con is that the decks off of the rooms are pretty small.

Beautiful Marriott resort located on the sunny side of Kauai. This tropical paradise is famous for Poipu Beach, calm waters, beautiful pools and solitude. Frequent sightings of turtles and monk seals right on the beach make even more spectacular memories that will last a lifetime.

I have stayed here it is excellent. The girl at the rental shack knows everything !!

What could be better than Marriott's Waiohai Beachfront property at Poipu Beach, Kauai? We have enjoyed it for many years and have decided to offer one of our Christmas weeks with an ocean view to some very lucky family.

We love this resort! The location is unbeatable—right on a gorgeous stretch of beach with excellent snorkeling just steps away and stunning ocean views throughout the property. It’s peaceful, well-maintained, and feels like a true home base for relaxing Kauai trips, consistently delivering an easy, beautiful, and memorable stay every time.

We LOVE this resort. The condos are super comfortable and clean. The staff is top notch. This is our favorite part of the island, the beaches are amazing. Great resort any time of the year! This is such a relaxing resort. Don't hesitate, just book it.

We’ve been coming to Kauai for over 30 years, and after staying all over the island, Marriott’s Waiohai Beach Club is hands-down the best place to stay in Poipu for a full week.

The resort sits directly on Poipu Beach on Kauai’s sunny south shore and works exceptionally well as a true home base. The villas are spacious two-bedroom layouts (over 1,000 sq ft) with full kitchens, in-unit washer/dryer, separate living and dining areas, and private lanais—a major advantage over standard hotel rooms, especially for families or groups.

This is not a flashy luxury resort, and that’s a plus. It’s clean, well-run, quiet at night, and designed for people who actually want to live comfortably for a week: cook some meals, store beach gear, do laundry, and walk straight out to the sand. Multiple pools, a beachfront bar & grill, fitness center, and an on-site market cover the essentials, with excellent dining and shopping minutes away.

Beautiful sunny island resort right on the beach. Plenty of nearby restaurants and shops. Nearby activities such as surfing, snorkeling, boogie board beach, golfing. Enjoy the wonders of Kauai.

We love staying there. Coming from the East Coast we plan a minimum of 2-3 weeks at a time every other year so you have the opportunity to stay at our home away from home on those off years! It is not overly large and chaotic. This resort is beautiful, personable and the staff have been there for years, which says a lot. Poipu beach is wonderful and in the mornings you will find sea turtles and/or sea lions laying on the beach. We hope you enjoy as much as we have over the years.

Marriott Waiohai Resort is one of the best resorts for ANY size family to spend a vacation. Not only do you have direct beach access on one of the prettiest and swimmable beaches on Kauai, but also snorkeling right in front of the resort as well as daily visits from monk seals and Sea Turtles right on the beach. Waiohai offers walkability to some lovely restaurants such as little fish coffee and Kioki's Paradise and shopping Historic Koloa town is just a few minutes away for additional restaurants and historic sites as well. Kauaii offers such amazing beauty and Waiohai places you in the center of Hawaii's magic and truly captures the feeling of Old Hawaii. A vacation that we have enjoyed year after year!
